Yeah, it's great! With my 400 brown houses I already have Santa's Little Helper.

No, it doesn't work this way. Check some of the other threads in the past few days and you'll see others have shared this misconception.

Every single one of my blue houses has a countdown on it that says 'Coin Generation' so if it works the same way everything else works I will get 5 x 56 in another 16 hours.

Exactly! You would have thought maybe EA would have made you pay 50 coins each to collect 5 a day each, but then your town wouldn't look so good with just sporadic decorations. I guess they didn't think about having all houses decorated at one time to make your town look good but only allow collecting once per house type. Just another one of those EA oversights I guess.

The responses are pretty interesting...I'm not sure who to believe but I will have confirmation in just another 16 hours.

    Lol.

    Lol.

No, you can trust me, house farming produces coins per building.

I'm just surprised nobody else had brought this subject up before on this forum.

I don't think this is an oversight at all. The lighting and the payment for the lighting work as designed. And to be honest, I'm okay with that design. What would have had them do? Pick a blue house at random and make that one and that one alone capable of displaying the countdown information?

That would really suck since I never farmed houses because I didn't want my Springfield to look bad. Guess if this is true...I need to start using all my $$ to build a crap load of houses.

in terms of coins, house farming might not help the farmer per se, but friends visiting the farmer's town will get coins from every single building with a $-sign, even if it's the same color...

The oversight is just in the fact that each house collects 5 coins per day. I really like how each is decorated, I was a bit concerned about just having one of my 400 brown houses decorated. But it just doesn't seem fair I get to collect 2,000 coins a day just on my brown houses alone.

I'm just wondering how many people will now go on a building spree for easy coins?

I already went through this about 4 hours ago and only one of my brown houses gave me a coin. The time reset to 24hrs on all of them. So it only gives you a 5 coin for the reward not for all of them.

Don't remember where I read it, but you only get 5 coins per day for each house type. Not 5 coins per house per day. There would be some people who got done with everything (sans donuts) tonight at that rate. I'm glad EA accounted for this and put everyone on an even playing field.

Seems like I will get 5 coins per blue house that I have per 24 hours. That sure makes things easier. I'm glad I caved and finally built that mini-farm.

Seems weird that EA would reward that behavior and punish those with nice towns with only one house each.

You could be wrong, and indeed you are, sorry, it's only the people visiting your town that will get all the coins

This is fact. Anything contrary is misinformation.

You pay 50 coins for a fa?ade that earns a grand total of 5 coins per day. You can put this fa?ade on as many identical houses as you want (the game automatically applies it to all, but you can turn them on/off individually)... but the total payout is just 5 coins TOTAL. You see the countdown on all buildings, but when you tap one it resets for all of that house type.

Farming is NOT rewarded with extra coins. :)

Have you tested this house farming method or are you assuming this is how this works?

Because last night I had 5 brown houses ready for redemption and I only got 5 coins for ONE of them, not all 5 I have.

AND all my brown houses have the same timer, if you actually look.

I do not believe house farming works... again, are you assuming or have you actually done this?

But farming is rewarded with a s**tload of work once x-mas is over and you decide to take down all decorations :D

Where are you getting this information? Have you actually tested this, because it doesn't conform with anyone else's experience with the game.

"Confirmed"? As far as everyone else is concerned, the opposite has been confirmed.

Are you just trolling at this point or is there genuine confusion still?

I believe you wrote *CONFIRMED* where you meant to write *BUSTED*

    No worries... Common autocorrect mistake.
