How much of your town has persisted over time?

Prev1
Pretty much my whole town  I rarely change anything. The only time it changes is when I add in some new stuff we get.

Fair enough. You just do things right the first time.

Did one re-designed like 12 months ago and back then my town was no where near as big as it is now and it took forever, so I swore ill never do it again and I havnt so basically it's been the same now for over 12 months, doing constant mini re designs to fit in new content but a major renovation, stuff that. Lol

The only thing that hasn't changed on mine is the area at the base of my mountains and a little movie theater I created with fences and the Radioactive Man billboard. I just rearranged the rest of my town and Squidport. My eyes are killing me! Lol

My Simpsons house has barely moved since day one. I'm actually pretty sure it's still within the same square that it had to be placed on during the tutorial.

Beside the Simpsons house has always lives the Muntz house on the rights, and the Flanders home to the left, followed by the Van Houten home. I've never split these four houses apart in all my redecorating.

My other constant has been the Town Hall, Police Station and Library being at the top strip below the mountains. Apart from that, everything else went through a major overhaul during the Christmas update.

I did a total redesign from scratch a couple of months after starting, and it took so long moving things around that there's no way I'd attempt it again, especially so far into it!

I do often move around little areas when new stuff comes out though, and I sometimes wish I had the time or patience to make mine as good as some of my neighbours, but I really can't be bothered! :P

With all the new content we got during Halloween and Christmas, I just dropped it wherever for the most part. Once money enough has been saved and I can buy enough land, I'll place things where they need to be. But older parts of town that I consider to be final will not be messed with. Maybe add somes trees or shrubs here and there, but what's done is done.

My Springfield has stayed the same from the beginning! There are many things that I'd like to change or incorporate based on other creative layouts that I've seen but it will take me far too long and I don't have the patience!
Having said this, if we don't get more land soon, I'm not going to have any other choice but to move things around

I have done a total redesign several times.I really need to stop doing it!The only area that has been there a while is my kind of Educational area.
My airport is a concern, it takes up a lot of room.A couple of new buildings and I will be short of room, and I have all the available land.I am loathe to lose my 3D buildings to free up room.

Most of mine is the same too. The lower part changes around when new stuff is added. I have some areas I'll have to redo as we get new content though. I have big parking lots for the stadium and coliseum that seemed realistic at the time but take up a lot of useable space.

Probably one of the few long timers that had nothing saved. Around Whacking Day I did my first major redesign and everything was scraped from the early days. A few months later I did another major shift. Since that time it has stayed relatively stagnate. Since it was 2 major overhauls in a small time frame, I never successfully finished it either (to today). But I have been decorating areas and reconstructing areas slowly. For that stupid pity strip of land I had to do an entire town shift 1 square over to keep it the way I want. I still have some a few open plots but I'm reaching that point where there won't be room to add anything else.

I have actually just started a complete rebuild of my Springfield, while i was a freemium player things were ok, the town was built through each item released and usually didn't need much changing. Since i've started to buy donuts, my town is starting to grow and expand beyond it's original design, so last night, i felt it needed a major redevelopment.

I started at first by getting rid of several Krusty Burger's and Gulp N Blow's, leaving just one of each, i have two spare Kwik-E-Marts that eventually i will get rid of completely. With the new additions of Up Up And Buffet, Duff Brewery and The Cracker Factory, some changes are needed. My 'events' corner which contained the xmas/halloween stuff has gone for now, but will be back when i can find a corner for it (some items generate money and XP, so don't want it gone for too long)

I think, unless i need to drastically change or move it, the only part of my town that will remain untouched will be the housing area with Church, Community Centre and Springfiled Downs

So at the moment, to anyone who visits my town, please be aware it's in it's development stages, and may look a bit rough and untidy. It's going to take me some time to re-design it, but i hope, when it's done, it'll look cool and be an enjoyable place for friends to visit :)

My (first) KEM and Krusty Burger are still in their original places. Everything else has moved around though. I can't even remeber what my town looked like in the begining, wish I hade taken screenshots...

A fairly large chunk of it, I'd say. "Evergreen Terrace" did get a bit of a makeover - I expanded the yards on the Flanders, Simpson, and Van Houten houses - but the bit at the end of that road, where the KEM and Krusty Burger are, haven't been touched since day 1. I don't believe my original KEM has ever moved. Cletus's Farm too, has been nestled up against the mountains surrounded by water and trees forever.

A lot of things are still where I originally put them. The only big things I moved were the church and then the Burns Manor and what landscaping I had for it, and it made me never want to move anything again, at least until there's an area select tool. For the most art, I try to think about where I want something to go before I build it, and buy the proper land, although sometimes when a new building is released, I decide it might be a better fit for a certain area.
A few houses have moved around and the kwik-e-mart had to move when I got the KL bus, because I decided it should go in the Krustyburger parking lot (and I wasn't entirely happy with the KEM being there, anyhow.) I also moved the prison when I got enough land to give it a moat. The unemployment office took its place. My gulp'n'blow also moved because I wanted to put the helter shelter where it was. That's what I can remember.

I've got a huge central space for new buildings now, had to buy some new and to keep the event items in one area, although this time down the right sidfe of my town, have some spare land where my prison used to be, which has now moved to the top right hand side and has kept some of it's original layout i had. Valentines Island will probably be cut down to just a few items soon, for now it'll stay as it is though. just a few little bits and pieces to bring out of the inventory that add to the multiplier and i like in my town. Pretty happy with the new look so far :)

That is until i get a few new premium items and i have to change it all again, i think the only original part of my town is restaurant row on the left side next to SquidPort

Mine has largely just grown out of that original square of land, slowly growing outward as new content was released. Only a small redesign early on, but beyond that, the original content is still there.

I did a redesign after WD. Pretty much the left hand side of my town is unchanged since.
