Are you sure that's a stop sign, looks more like a sticker board
That kind of thing would be dealt with in UK. I believe it's a criminal offence to alter a road sign in that manner, of course the local council would have replaced the sign before it got that bad as they can held responsible for any accident caused by illegible signs. goes to show how different people have different priorities.
Where I come from we have a thing called stop lights

Lol, yes we have them to, but some junctions on minor roads would have traffic flow impeded by using lights, so hence the use of stop/give way signs.

I would like to be able to put items next to fences. You could for a short time, but now if I change something I can't put it back. I would like the cig machines extra back space removed, and also for other items with unnecessary space behind them. I would like premium buildings to come with their own tasks, as well as all buildings with no tasks.
Some sorting options for the neighbors list would be primo. Particularly, I'd love to be able to sort by time-since-last-actions-completed, in that friends that need the most visiting would appear first. There is very little need to scroll through twenty screens full of "Come back in 18 hours" just to get to that one remaining friend.
Also, the ability to zoom out by a couple more magnitudes would be pretty useful on those larger towns.
That would be great, but it's a pretty significant change that would definitely not be easy to implement by any stretch. One would think that fixing the crashing would be near the top of the developers priority list. My game has been crashing a lot more for me recently.
Sounds daft but I want the power plant sound effect to be the crow squawk we always hear on the show whenever it cuts to the power plant. (Don't believe me? Go watch an episode - crow always squawks when we see the plant!)
It's a very minor change but it'd make this Simpsons fan happy.
businessmans social club losing the back row of sidewalk. It doesn't fit in a 2x1 space with roads so if I put it next to Asia de Cuba and adult education annex i have to make the pavement two rows instead of 1 just because of that 1 damn row
I'd like to be able to click on a character in "move" mode and move them somewhere else. It seems silly, but for events like this it would help. I have all of my chars wandering a big square road around my loading zone so my neighbors don't have to go searching for them. The problem comes when I am prompted to send them on tasks, and when they finish, I have to build a road to lead them back to my landing zone. I then take that road away. Big pain in my tush. Just let me move my people, already, will ya?
Just thought of this, I would like for my towns multiplier to be applied to my friend visits so instead of getting the flat rate of $16 and 2xp I'll get my bonus money and xp too.

Now that's not a bad idea at all, shouldn't, in theory, be that hard to implement
The one thing we all hate and I've mentioned before. When trying to select items, it selects everything around but the thing you actually want,
Duz my head in.
I thought that was just me and my fat fingers! I'm happy I'm not the only one frustrated with this. I recently started using a stylus while playing the game, which helps a teeny-tiny bit.

I'd love to see them add the ability to buy multiple Golden Scratchers at the same time instead of having to buy them individually. The other thing that comes to mind is that I wish they could make some buildings match up better with a pavement surface - for example the Post Office and Police Station have grass strips out front that doesn't look right when you try to put the building on pavement.
The characters should have tasks in a much bigger variety of buildings. It's a pity that so many buildings stay unused.
This has been a gripe of mine for a while now. The last Halloween event proved that every building has an animation, with a lot of them never being used before or since Halloween (such as the Calmwood and the Pet Shop).
The Bad Dream House has an amazing animation that could surely be used by someone!
And why send everyone to the Guilded Truffle when there are at least another three restaurants that never get used (Pimento, El Chemsitri and now Madame Chao's).
If you use the arrows to move from one neighbor to another, when you exit from a neighbor, it doesn't exit to the panel with that town, it exits to the last panel you visited. I would like to see that changed.
I would like to be able to scroll in both directions from the neighbor screen (past the Other Springfield). I have 2 feeders that begin with the letter U, and it takes forever to scroll to them on my iPhone.
A way to set a square of land to be the landing spot in your town.
I don't understand the point of the "tap to continue" button when logging in. I've logged in, I want to play the game, why do I need to tap yet another button to get to the game?
A better way to cancel a task. I know you can store a building, but that only works for some characters. I hate when I accidentally send Homer or Lisa on a task and have to wait till they're finished to do anything else.
On a shared two-character task, have the character that has the task show before the other character. Example: Marge and Homer have the romantic walk task, but my Homer always shows before Marge, and when I'm mindlessly sending folks on tasks, I forget to skip him. And of course, there is no way to cancel Homer's task.
A "find character" ability. With so many characters, I sometimes forget what task I sent them on. If I sent someone to shop at Kwik-E-Mart, and I have 10 Kwik-E-Marts, it's kinda a pain to search all of them.
Be able to store garbage.
I would like to see better clock management. I'm sure everyone has experienced "time creep." It's not always possible for me to play at the same time every day. This is mostly a problem when you visit neighbors. Eventually it will get to the point where I have to skip a day to get it back to the time I want. That especially sucks during an event. I think Instead of the timer starting when you do the first event in a town, have the timer reset at the same time of the day for everyone. That way you have a 24 hour slot to do everything, regardless of when it was started. I have played other games that do this.
I'm slightly inebriated, so I hope I'm making sense.
