Developers I love this feature but

I make that mistake all the time, if i'm putting everyone on 1hr tasks, the most common one i miss is Smithers because Burns always comes up first, still trying to get myself into a system where i leave Burns until Smithers comes up :)

All I did was store the Library and Smithers. Characters stored and brought back into the game are placed at the end of the list.

I do this sometimes as well, but I don't think it's a big problem. Depending on the day, I either let Smithers wander around aimlessly that hour and try to remember this next time, or set him on a longer task.
Same goes for other characters that have joint tasks. I don't think there is an order that would account for ALL joint tasks, so I either just try to remember, or I skip the first few characters and start somewhere in the middle of the list.

And Homer if you want the joint with Maude. And CBG for the joint with Selma. I do think the way joint tasks are handled in the current job assignment is something that can be explored.

Personally, I think joint tasks should appear in both characters task lists.

Ah, yes. And it bothers me too (depending on whether or not I choose to believe the Komiko marriage actually happened or was simply fiction from a comic book).
