Useless Neighbors

Prev1
The new update has made all buildings only tappable once by neighbors, until the town owner clears the handshake (or cleans graffiti.) This includes the very short timer buildings, and the items that were previously stackable.

What level are they at and if your going to delete them check their status of when they were last logged in

There's been quite a few threads regarding this, if those neighbors haven't cleared their handshakes then there will not be anything to tap, buildings aren't regenerating by themselves like they did at Halloween.

I've gotten this too from a few neighbours, and I think that I'm one of those neighbours overnight; I don't have many buildings to tap on, and I'm still a low-ish level. I do clear handshakes and graffiti as soon as I can, and usually check my town before going to work at the very least.

    I tend to give people a few days because there's so many reasons why their town has nothing to click on;

    * They might not have many buildings, so handshakes build up quickly
    * They might not of had the time to clear their buildings just yet
    * They might be operating on a different timezone

However if they last logged in a few days ago and nothing has been cleared, that could be a reason to delete them.

Would also help if people stopped clearing every hr. Leave brown houses etc, for people to tap on. Even after you clear the handshake it still won't be tappable until it's generated again. Try kl too

Sometimes real life gets in the way. I for one, work 12 hour shifts 4 days a week. During those days I clear out my town and visits friends on MY schedule. I do not have access at my job as it is dangerous and company policy does not allow for such distractions for this reason. My off days I am on several times a day (or night).

Thats just one example. If it is such a bothersome thing, delete them. There are hundreds of thousands of other players out there looking for new neighbors.

Basically this is one update where being an hourly player isn't a good thing per se

I've been deleting people with nothing to tap for multiple days. The dirge of tappable buildings among Springfields is unfortunate.

Many daily players without house farms cannot satisfy demand, unfortunately. People are always railing against house farming; but, it's very useful.

is this defo how it works?

ive got friends who deleted the game months ago and I can tap theres but not others? unless its because they have less friends and im slowly working through the buildings??!

however am I right in thinking this event isn't limited? because when I get down to 1xp per house I lose patience and stop!

I have some wonderful low-level neighbors without house farms who leave $$$ for others to tap, and they are clearing their handshakes once or twice a day.

But, yeah... if I can't find something to tap in your town for 2-3 days and if you aren't visiting my town, either, then why are we neighbors?

I guess people need to decide if house farming is worth it. For me no. This isn't short term & I don't want an ugly sf. I have plenty for people to tap on. A lot of snake logs & rocks lol

I got rid of my house farm after Halloween, and have had to build another for this very reason!

Actually I leave my houses alone and tap my charaters. Same thing I did at Halloween. Valentine I did the opposite

I believe that another player mentioned this new format that even Simpson house no longer re generated after 45 seconds

I shout obscenities at my neighbors when they have nothing to tap.

also take notice of when they 're awake.
i mean... if they're asleep and friends tap on buildings...
they can't clear them (happens to me too)

I put about a dozen brown houses up and I only clear buildings that have a handshake over them and I've not had my town ever be completely tapped out. I have all the neighbors I'm allowed and they seem active. I deleted any that had nothing to tap on for a few days and haven't played for two or three days and replaced with new neighbors. Hopefully this is the proper etiquette for this new event but I figure if I'm visiting every day and clearing my handshakes at least twice a day and always leaving buildings that are ready to be tapped then the least I can expect from neighbors is some tappable buildings at least once a day.

If EA puts the mops back in neighbors towns none of this would be an issue. Cleaning neighbor's graffiti was a great feature and it makes no sense to me why they would intentionally remove it. I have to think this is a bug in the friends points system that will be fixed in a future release.

I too am getting increasingly annoyed with the number of towns I have to hunt through to find nothing to tap but I'm not booting any long time neighbors that have played along for halloween Xmas and valentines just because they tend to play mostly on the weekends.

You get FP for cleaning graffiti in your town. It would go against the whole system if your friends could steal your friend points :|

If ea replaced the mop with something else if your find cleans up for you and gives 2x the FP bam problem solved. If you think about it more than 1 problem solved because more tappers could use the same building and the benefits of the reward will make it so more buildings are free to tap. There are a few things they could do so the update was more neighbor friendly. Well that's my thoughts on it

For the record, I've seen a lot of house farms that are totally "tapped out"
