I've had him pop up 3 times in the span of 10 minutes... when I opened the game, when I was collecting money I got the pop-up, and last when I crashed, restarted the game and got him again...

^ Exactly! I've had Tapped Out open while I've been on the computer, and Bob has shown up around three times in the last couple of hours.

Yep, he's been showing up quite a lot daily for me, bothin my towns and when i'm visiting neighbours towns too :-)

I speculated a couple of weeks back that it might be that EA are doing this because at some point this source of cash and help towards righteousness ratings will soon stop if Sideshow Bob becomes a permanent character in the game after a teaser just after xmas :-)

If we do get him, he probably will be free because they didn't give a free item yet.

But that is a set amount - if he was permanent it would generate so much more money and XP per job :)

What's weird to me is that about 50% of the time he shows up in my neighbor's towns, he appears unannounced. I know folks have speculated/explained why that happens in the past, but I can't for the life of me remember the reason :)

He does seem to be appearing more frequently as it goes, which to me is a good thing as i like SSB he one of my fav characters :) I have always wanted him to be a permanent character....Really hope he does someday :)

Catching Sideshow Bob all the time would definitely help out low level players since they don't have access to training walls to keep their righteousness rating up.

If they gave us Sideshow Bob on Sunday, it would make this THE BEST UPDATE EVER, IMO. I'd be willing to cough up some serious donuts to have Sideshow Bob step on rakes for 24 hours at a time.

Definitely not going to hold my breath over it though.

When I first started, and saw Sideshow Bob in a friend town, and tapped him, then when I got money out of him, I assumed that I was depriving my friend of that money. It wasn't for a few months, when I had the time to sit around online and visit a game forum, that I knew it wasn't greedy to tap him.

(Screams again for some sort of rules in the game, so every player would know what to do.)

I would love that, especially if one of his sound bites was

Edit: I fail at BB code. It probably still hasn't worked.

I keep Bob running around in both my towns; never tap him….... It gives my neighbors a chance to catch him, if they have a mind to. I still wish they'd make him a premium character. I like BOB!!

He is definitely around much more than usual, and for the first time I saw him in my Krustyland the other day. Maybe that's normal and I just never saw him because I don't spend much time there.
