Game crashed out after Ios 7.1 update

I have the same problem.

I can't play after iOS 7.1 update on my iphone 4

Where you say you have un-installed and re-installed, do you mean the iOS update or do you mean the game itself? Sorry just wanted to clarify as i wasnt sure.

If you havent tried Deleting the game & Re-installing it that would be one thing to try just in case, dont worry you wont lose your game as it is saved back at the EA servers. If you have done this then you could raise a ticket with EA and see whether they can help.

I had issues last night with my game freezing up and having to re-boot it about 5 times while collecting from neighbours, so it might also be worth leaving it a day and logging back in later on to see whether it works. Sorry i cant be more help

Oops, sorry, that was my first post too. so Hello all .

Thanks for the info Neo, it was the game that I deleted & re-installed but it looks like I may not be the only one so I guess I will leave it a day and see what happens and raise a ticket with EA.

I may get withdrawal symptoms otherwise...

No problem Have you tried logging in with another device (friends etc) to see whether you can gain access that way? Also have you tried a hard re-boot of your phone?

Just updated mine before no probs with the game so far had a little bit off a problem wile using the internet i just rebooted my ipad & everything seems back to normal now

No you are not alone with the iOS update. I had trouble with 3 devices yesterday after the installation, computer, iPad and iPhone. No problems on iPad that is still running iOS 5.1

Still having the same problem on the phone. Logging in this morning I was in someone else's town, first time for that.

Cannot Connect to server: I have been doing the following. Holding the shut down button and then restarting, load game. The EA appears first and then town loads. What I have been noticing is that once back in, someone has visited me. Not sure if this is causing the connection loss or not. Will keep an eye on things today.

Reading Davo's post made me wonder, OP is your internet connection working ok? As sometimes the slightest drop in connection can cause all sorts of problems, i've had to run the game on 3G a couple of times while my internet was sodding about

I have rebooted the phone (I phone 4 by the way) I haven't tried another device yet, but it sounds like it is the same as nascarchamp0 so that may not help me, but will give it ago tonight. I have tried at home & work so the internet connection is definitely fine.

Maybe someone else is logged into my town and I cant log on

My dad & r nick just updated there's and had no problems so not sure if it was my ipad as they r on iPhones

Hi! I have the same problem after updating iOS 7.1 in my device (iPhone 4).
I contacted EA and they said they're working on it and they should come up with a resolution very soon.
I hope we'll be able to play the game as we could before.
EA, please, fix this!

Hi Hugodubliner, Great info, fingers crossed they will get it sorted, at least it is a known problem.

I doubt it would be that cos when you log back into your game that "should" kick them out if that had happened of course.

Really hope this whole situation is sorted soon for you

My iPhone4 is very slow loading the game compared to when i load it on my iPhone5 tbh

Well just tried re-installing again, did all the updates as normal then I thought I would let it try and log in as a new game, which it did, so I could start afresh, but then as soon as you click on the 'find another springfield' button (as part of the start up tutorial) it crashed and froze again.

Will try it again tonight trying to log in as me, but looks like I may miss out on * Patricks Day

Add me to the list of people who can no longer play after the ios update. It's only been a day, and I'm already suffering from withdrawal.
Here's hoping they come up with a fix soon!
