It was scary at first, but two years later, I'm so glad I ditched the laptop and learned to touch-type on the iPad. It's my "daily driver" now. No keys, please!
I am actually considering purchasing a blue-tooth keyboard for my tablet since I am doing so much writing on it now. I'd be a much faster and more accurate keyboarder than touch padder.
I do all my typing here on my ipad...it's onscreen keyboard is more than big enough for me to use as fast as I can on a real keyboard, without looking at the keys and all that good stuff

I couldn't recommend them enough! I use screen keyboard 90% of the time, mostly for the convenience, but if I'm at a desk or on a train, I'll use the Bluetooth keyboard. Having cursor and shortcuts keys is brilliant.
