I been thinking about that as well, if it was someone who provides mult. voices like Hank etc. I think it would be too weird to get replacements and should end. They must have some sort of back up plan for major loses like advanced recordings to finish a season and not have it end abruptly. I try to keep it out of mind mostly

It's gunning for the number 636- the primetime episode record currently held by Gunsmoke. Once that is broken in April of 2016 then the show might be on its last legs but Groening and Fox seem to like having the show on...
Unless they could find someone to do those voices spot on.
I doubt it goes past the next contract for the actors, maybe 2017 and that's it. So 30 full years, 661 episodes.

I just can't see the simpsons ending, surely it'll effect Fox's ratings drastically as well
at least, that's how i would do it.
They should go to 666 episodes and the 666th episode be a Halloween special
