What is your greatest band?

You forget Led Zeppelin, and The Doors :P

I don't know they are so many great bands. It's kinda hard to just pick one as the best.

Ooo jealous! :P I'd love if that happened to me lol. I wore my fleetwood mac top one night hanging out with my friends and one of them asked me who they were  I was mortified for her
How can you not know fleet wood mac, you been under a rock or something? I tend to notice that now iam getting older, I never thought I would ever get to the point where I mention something to someone younger than me and they don't know what iam on about, makes me go "damn where did the last ten years go in my life" iam only 29 basically 30 but it's gone so quick the last 10 years, like I went to bed at 17 and woke up at 29 like ****? That's why I try to introduce my kids to as many things as early as possible, like my 7 and 4 year old both know who tupac is and know his music straight away when they hear it, I don't play offensive tracks just ones that have a positive message to bring accross. They both know and like Michael Jackson and bob Marley, plus I tell them about other people like bruce lee, people who made a positive influence on this planet. So hopefully one if there in a situation like you mentioned, they will know what it is and can educate others instead of being a shallow, tunnel visioned person.
Yeah man, totally agree. I'm so glad my parents introduced me to music they listened to when they were young. My mum used to rock me to sleep to mustang Sally when I was a baby and it's still one of my favourite songs. Of course everyone will still have different tastes in music but it's definitely important to have an open mind and explore different things.
Using it as an example, you would have known that if you read my whole post.
Totally, although I only listen to rap/hip hop, I totally respect all genre of music for the reason being, music is the language everyone speaks. Every nationality knows music, but it's not just music, I try tell them about other important non-corrupt people who impacted everyone.
 ouch Scary!! but I do get a lot of that....people not knowing who they are or "oh your parents were hippies?" or think I mean the other...Rhiana or how ever you spell that... oh well, I guess not everyone can have awesome taste!!!!
You got here before I finished work and said it all so I'll just quote it.
Emmcee, your awesome! I don't have any kids but I'm constantly introducing my nieces, 8 and 4, to all kinds of music from many generations. I want them to know where music comes from. They don't have to love all of it but it's nice for them to know it. I mean (prepares for tomatoes) I hate Meatloaf's music, I really do it's not for me. But I know a lot of his music and who he is.
My older brother is a huge Bruce Lee fan so my earliest memory actually is being on our kitchen floor with baby dolls my nan had given me and a Bruce Lee movie on in the background but I was making the dolls fight like Bruce Lee. There was some collateral damage (a ding) in the wall from a flying I was around 3 I think. Man I can't believe I remember that, that's 21yrs ago but it sticks with me
Edit: flying what? Flying roundhouse lol poor wall
I had to look it up because I wasn't familiar with it but it sounds awesome!! Seems similar to one of my favourite music festivals here, called soundwave except it only lasts one day instead of 3. I think you should go to one, never too old to rock out
