Anyone been able to get the special building from getting vinny early without spending clams? I'm 2 - 4 short of each item with 7hrs to go. Key jobs take 10hrs each and are really rare

I'm still building the dog pound; I doubt I'll get it though. Vinny was only in a couple of episodes, so no big deal for me if I don't get the bonus building. Nothing special about it from what I've seen of it in one of my neighbors.
From my understanding, the candy resets at 12PM PT every day. And you have twelve hours to collect the candy each day before it disappears. So far, I've been able to get one daily but sometimes I have to look around my town before I find it. Other times, it's in plain sight.

I will get it, yeah. I have a 1d5h left and only have the common drops left.

Yeah, it does seem doable. I finished the extra rare items. I only have common items left to collect with 2 days to go but I'll have to check my game every 2 hours to get the common items.
Just finished building the Casa di Vinny. I got to say, I love this house-- it only cost 5K in-game coins-- unlike Krusty's 115 donut mansion-- and better-looking, IMO. 8)

Like what you did there.
I don't know if I've been playing TO to long but, this update seems like it needed a few more items to make it exciting. The mansion is nice and a skin for Krusty, but it needs something more, IMHO.

Thanks! I agree. The **** update is going waaay too long and didn't have the surprises that FGTQFS did for the Comic Con event as it progresses. Hopefully, the Halloween event will make up for it.
Every time i almost confirm the build of the pound another person arrives, liks if the unlocks clash I don't want be getting cool aid man and vinny at the same time, guessing I'm waiting again
thing i hate is how tiny co does the limited time things
8 ice cubes where only one building has the chance of dropping it every 8 hours.. or spend 125 clams to always have them drop
they do a good job everywhere else but they are just far too greedy in some places and have pretty ridiculous prices
The event ends in 4 days, and the pier we get for in-game cash drops them every 8 hours. That's 12 drops when we only need 8. I'm not seeing the problem...?
Holy crap 25 pitchers in 4 days?! This is going to be near impossible to complete unless you buy a buttload of clams.
Also, Cleveland is back but, of course, he is outrageously expensive.
It's doable. There are 5 different tasks to collect 25 pitchers in 4 days. From my experience with the game, I have yet to miss out on limited-time characters in this game without using clams. We'll see how this one goes. TinyCo MAY extend it like it did for Sexy Stewie. As far as Cleveland, Cleveland was tough to unlock during the Moon event thus the high clam price. It's about the same price as Barney and the Bowlarama (which was a prize during Christmas 2012 event) in Tapped Out. (600 clams is $19.99 in FG; 300 donuts is $19.99 in Tapped Out-- 400 clams for Cleveland is about $15; 250 donuts for Barney is about $15 in Tapped Out).
1 cigar away from unlocking Vinny before the timer runs out to get the bonus
Now still working on tucker with 5 satellites and 6 creams to go
I want that kool aid I hope I can collect all items before Monday
So I have to unlock x amount of hard to get items for Vinny and Tom whilst looking for the Cool aid man and candy for pink Brian all the while building several houses and shops..
Anyone else feel it sometimes is too much to do in this game?
It doesn't help that there are several characthers that are excluded from dropping items. Or that the one's who can drop item rarely drops them...
I feel it's slowly reaching my boiling point where I say..F this and deletes the app..

Well Tom and Vinny aren't limited time. There is a building you get if you unlock Vinny in a certain amount of time (I just unlocked it). The candy thing is just once per day so it's not bad at all. The Kool-Aid thing is the usual limited time event. Tough to do but not impossible.
I'm not gonna knock this game for giving us too much content. The Comic Con event was excellent and there's been basically no down-time after it ended either. Thumbs up from me.

You only get 1 per day, and they seem to appear on roadways.

Spansers speculation on the Halloween event looks good.
