Not going to get into a FGQFS vs. TSTO debate, except to say that FGQFS's last 3 events have each been far more enjoyable that TSTO's. In fact, today's level 48 update in TSTO is already better than the entirety of the Christmas event so far. FGQFS is getting way more of my attention, and it's been that way for awhile now.
As for the event, Mort has only knocked out 1 Yeti HP every time. It's a bit frustrating. But starting with a headstart this morning and having all 3 attacking all day, I'll be able to defeat him and have his recovery finished before bed tonight.

It's good to have a conversation about it though as many of us here started as Tapped Out players. Even your tally in your sig below shows how stingy Tapped Out with rewarding donuts vs. clams for this event alone. And EA is a much bigger company than TinyCo. They should be able to more generous to their players. Just my thoughts. :?
Speaking of free clams, I just hit level 8 and got my 8 clams. I also got my first clam from a snowman. The four hour log in time hasn't worked too well with my current schedule, but I am just a few days away from two weeks off, so I will have plenty of time to finish.

I have Mort and Lois still "attacking" Yeti as he resets, so I'll be able to start him off with 2 immediate attacks and then set all 3 to attack overnight.

I'm at 50 snowflakes. Just 50 more snowflakes before I get Jesus in my Quahog. One of my neighbors already have him roaming in their town-- and he's voiced! 8) Hope he has some cool visual tasks!

Really can't wait for Jesus to be released, i really hope that one of the visual tasks he has if the freakin' hilairious finger trick that appeared in an episode of Family Guy, I absolutley loved that clip
Currently, i'm at almost 14k gingerbread currency and I have 54 blue snowflakes, if i can keep the streak going today i'll have 64 and be just 36 away from Jesus. Buying the sno cone building has helped somewhat with the additional two blue stockings i get a day.
I agree with what some players are saying about premium buildings from past events and regular premium buildings in general being used to generate these stockings to help people out more - i can't see any harm in TinyCo actually making that possible. The only thing i'd say is this can only be done if the main premium building that gives out the stockings (or whatever the event currency may be) is bought first. An incentive to buy the premium buildings, with the reward being more older premium buildings now being used for it too.
It's just a thought though right there, doubt it would be possible to implement in the game

I think it's random, proper random, i have not had a clam from a snowman since Friday at least. Got the same feeling about placing gifts in ollieland, random as to when it gives out clams for leaving presents. I'm sure your luck will change and the clams will drop

Same here. But the bonus clams from leveling up in Holiday Cheer is a plus and we get bonus clams if we unlock all characters and skins this event. 8)
Damn, not sure if i'll make the streak continue tonight, lost a couple of hours and am now considerably behind on attacking the Yeti, cleverly laid out times all out the window. May have to fork out nearly 40 clams to catch up, decisions, decisions...

Depends on how soon you want to unlock Jesus. There's a day and 4 hours left before the next Christmas tree upgrade and I'm sure it will unlock the higher Yeti which would require more power to beat him. I'm almost at 60 snowflakes and should be around 80 by tomorrow. I won't click on the tree upgrade myself until I unlock Jesus. Then again, we might get another premium character to attack Yeti SPOILER ALERT Gene Simmons.

I sped it up, was only about 14 clams combined for each character in the end to do, puts me back on track for defeating the Yeti at about 11pm tonight.
Really can't wait for the update to see what they throw at us next, i have 496 clams in reserve for it and i'm guessing i'm probably going to need to buy more I'll be at 68 Snowflakes after tonight, probably about 80 by the end of tomorrow night, so getting much closer to getting Jesus, then i'll buy the gingerbread hut to just help re-top up those cookies every 4hrs (i know it's only 50, but it all adds up in the end)
I really do enjoy the strategy of battling the Yeti down to one final hit and then restarting the other 2 characters on attacks, then defeating him. As soon as he recharges I'll have 2 attacks ready to go and then can immediately start all 3 on a new round. I've managed to do it twice in a row now and may be able to earn two sets of stockings tomorrow.
