Not spending 150 clams for a skin. New character sure, depending on whether I want, but not a skin. Now just have to wait til 15th for the task to go away from my list.
Still waiting for one more bracelet to drop to unlock Jillian's outfit. I have everyone on the task for it but they seem to be stubborn with dropping it.
Set JC to his clam task, so far I've gotten awarded clams once out of the two times he's performed the task.
Edit: would figure that right after I get a quest to send both Jillian and New Year's Brian on 1 day tasks and assign those two to it, I get the last bracelet I need. :?

There is no way to happiness - happiness is the way. Thich Nhat Hanh
1 - create Jillian's NYE outfit - i can't, just three days left and still need three necklaces that won't drop (it's been 24hrs since my last necklace drop)
2 - create Brian's NYE costume - I can't, i'm not paying 150 clams for a skin!
This mini event has been a let down.
Many players saying that skins should be free, with us working hard to earn them. Paying for skins (including building skins) just isn't right, and certainly NOT at the premium prices TinyCo are asking for them
I'm happy to buy loads of premium content form events, i like characters and nice buildings and i always buy them, but skins - absolutely not, not at those prices. Maybe 30 clams yes, but 150, absolutely no!
We've had skins in Tapped Out that comparatively cost more than 150 clams. Looking forward to the joint task with Jillian-- still working on their quest lines.

Just because the necklace isn't dropping doesn't mean it won't. You will get her outfit before the event is over with regular play.
Tsto charges for plenty of skins. Tsto freemium content is garbage lately. And tsto has storylines that can't be finished unless you buy premium characters. Games are designed to make money. The only problem is if you think you need to finish everything.

There is not a single main questline in tapped out that needs a premium purchase purchase. None. Also the freemium content in tapped out is still good.

I'm not sure what you're considering "main" vs. "side", but there's been at least 2 TSTO questlines that I can remember that needed premium characters to fully complete.
First note - still trying for that elusive last neclace, just won't drop and it's been over 24hrs now
Second note, District 10 is here and i've already started to clear the land. Have not bought any of the District 10 stuff yet - going to clear the land first. Might be interesting this District

It's the brewery! I cannot wait.
Yep, i've heard it's going to be challenging by building up items, can only wait and see what happens when i eventually repair the Pawtucket Brewery and take it from there
I am still working to unlock Vinny and Tom Tucker. Hopefully I can catch up before the next event. If not it will be waiting for me when I am done.
Vinny was an easy unlock for me, but Tom Tucker was a pain in the proverbials, heavily reliant on the premium buildings he has. I didn't buy them, just had to keep plugging away until the items dropped

Jesus has now given clams 3 times in a row - first none, now heaps...
Need 1 bracelet and 1 necklace for New Years jillian
Sure, offer the premium characters, but don't impede game progress if I can't. I can't buy Brian so the event stalls there?
WEAK.
I've also been deleting buildings to add new buildings. Yeah, this is fun too.

Hasn't been for awhile now, in my opinion.
Just started on the land for the new district
