There was a 100 clam reward for completing the ComicCon 2 set - I think that was Takai, Fillion and Cranston. People weren't getting the reward so according to FG Addicts, yesterday/today TinyCo pushed out a patch to fix it. Maybe the parameters for the set reward are glitched? Nothing in my game though.
Meanwhile, I'm making the most of the New Year's Eve Tower glitch. I was a bit slow on the uptake of this one so have only completed one collection of items but 10 free clams are always welcome. Hopefully this glitch isn't fixed too quickly.
(ETA: store and replace the tower to collect stuff again. 10 clam reward drops on completion)
Just waiting for the next event to start soon (hopefully). The only item i actually paid clams for from the best of 2014 boxes was Pee Pants Peter - bargain at 125 clams considering it was originally going for 500 clams (then reduced to 300 when it was originally re-released). The rest of the boxes never appeard as i had won everything else in the events. I was happy to see some items come back - actually, the only one really i was estatic about was the Clamterprise - which i loved but wasn't taking a gamble on with an overpriced mystery box at the time, so when it was released for cash, had to snap it up. Wonderful decoration to have in my Quahog, my personal favourite indeed. My biggest concern now heading into the Valentines event, is will there be addition of land, and by land, i mean lots of it! I'm all out of land, i know they are saying they only release land in small amounts for game stability, but with all the premium items i had when i used to play TSTO, i never ran out of land, ever. Lots of players are actually messaging TinyCo via the FB page to say it's madness there is so little land to long time players. I agree. Land is much needed, lots of it
This game lost its mojo since the end of xmas hopefully when the vday event starts it will be fun to play again I regret getting those pets wasted 200 clams for nothing all they do is just walk around no sounds
I need 1 flute for pat
Unlocked king **** with one day left didn't care if I got him or not

I partially agree with you. I'm kind of kicking myself on the animals as well. They were an impulse purchase for me because I wanted Patches. They are worthless and a waste of 200 clams. I am just glad I was able to get Human Rupert and King **** since they were two characters I missed out on. I also spent clams on one mystery box which was a far better deal, since Adventure Peter's (the one I won) tasks are all outside.

I have to agree with both of you, but i've also appreciated the slight break we have been able to get between events. Last year it was Comic Con, then American Dad mini event, then Halloween followed quickly by xmas. The NYE and this best of 2014/Pawtucket mini event has been slower and actually not too bad (although i some cases quite tricky to complete).
I agree with you about the animals too, impulse buy for me too, it was not patches i really wanted, but Jesse and Sheldon, purely because both of them are personal favourites (Sheldon especially). Was disappointed that Jesse did not at least have two tasks with Herbert in some way or another, i'm sure he could be made a playable character easily enough, there are two or three possible visible tasks, and a few indoor tasks to level it out. Sheldon should have been associated with Stewie in some way with visual tasks, and Patches, i will admit, i'm still trying to figure out where i saw him in Family Guy. I like the flaming chicken, it's funny, but i got bored eventually and stuck him in my inventory afterwards. Just Jesse and Sheldon strolling around my town at the moment.
So thanks to the kindle getting a pre update for FGQFS family guy addicts were able to post some spoiler info on their site. Per them since kindle is slowest to approve updates Tinyco pushed the update info but hasn't turned on the event. Reading the info has me excited for the two ways you can play the update. Though it sounds like there is a chance for clearable mobs like the shoppers/trick o treaters, at least that is what I gathered from part of the description
Finally got Pat so I don't have to worry about unlocking him during the next event. As long as I don't have to worry about tasks that drop event items and brewery items that is. Knowing TC, yes, that will happen
Time keeps jumping in my game. I sent Brian on a 2 hour task and the West on an hour task. Then within a minute both were ready for tapping. So was my JC. In the last 30 mins he has jumped almost 5 hours. So now its 19 hrs to go to tap instead of 23.5
6:22 EST (now he is down to 16 hrs) More time hops.

You sure it's not you skipping ahead in time. I have opened up the game yet or updated, that'll have to wait until I get home and have my phone connected to wifi.
I still have one flute to collect for Pat and I forget how many of the hats, but I think I'm getting close to having all of them and then I will be able to unlock him.

The event is officially live in my town. It's confusing so far. You clear squatters (surprise, surprise), and collect greeting cards by doing tasks. There are also two different hearts (from the squatters) used to obtain different prizes. Hopefully, it'll make more sense later.
It also seems that Arnold Schwarzenegger is in the game (possibly as a freemium).
It appears that we get to "choose" how to play this event, either try to achieve the "love" prizes OR the "hate" prizes. Nice twist. Lots of new content, gonna have to reduce some Christmas clutter it seems. It's done in phases as well, which I think is always smart.

Makes me glad I store all my seasonal stuff after an event ends. Not sure which side I want to go with in this, love or hate. I wonder if it's possible to collect it all.
So far I'm trying to get enough of the cards to build the gazebo. Doesn't seem to be anyway to earn them through character actions, at least not yet.

Quagmire, Peter, and Joe have a four hour task that you can do for cards. There might be more but I was kind of setting the tasks fast and could've missed a few.
I find FGTQFS to be a terrible game. I have played TSTO for 2 years and will continue to play it but I only played the quest for stuff for one day before I got totally bored with it. The only things that were cool at IMHO were the task animations and the facebook style interface that posted mildly funny quips for each character. That got old quickly. I made a $5 purchase but was misled by the advertisement and ended up having to deal with customer service to sort it all out. That was a regret and I just uninstalled that crap game.
I think comparing TSTO to FG is silly just as is comparing the two television series. I firmly believe, and many Simpsons fan would agree, there are many individual episodes of The Simpsons that just as one episode are better than the sum total of Seth MacFarlane's entire career. TSTO is like a real game and FGTQFS is like some crappy zynga clone of it.
