    Frustrating!

Sometimes i get broken hearts from enamoured couples insteas of hearts. And yes, i am sure they were not fighting couples...

It appears that we get to "choose" how to play this event, either try to achieve the "love" prizes OR the "hate" prizes. Nice twist. Lots of new content, gonna have to reduce some Christmas clutter it seems. It's done in phases as well, which I think is always smart.

Makes me glad I store all my seasonal stuff after an event ends. Not sure which side I want to go with in this, love or hate. I wonder if it's possible to collect it all.

So far I'm trying to get enough of the cards to build the gazebo. Doesn't seem to be anyway to earn them through character actions, at least not yet.

Quagmire, Peter, and Joe have a four hour task that you can do for cards. There might be more but I was kind of setting the tasks fast and could've missed a few.
In addition to those 3 bonnie has a cheating job, Gillian and gene Simmons have a 24hr eat chocolate job, and, jerome has a 2hr hug patrons job. I've just started building the gazebo so I'm guessing Herbert will have a job when it's done in 4hrs. I can't tell the difference between the happy and angry couples meaning which prize I'll get will depend on which one I get the majority of. So far seems to be happy couples as I'm 6 points to that side despite tapping 15 couples at least today. I got pat just now too :)

I have had the same issue. I finally got five unbroken hearts in a row to get me to 13 when my game crashed and put me back at 8.

Hey all, I just started playing this game a couple weeks ago, this is my first event. Idk if friends are as important in this game than TSTO, doesnt seem that way; but I just made a Facebook profile just for this game if anyone wants to send me a request.

    Same here. I think it's a glitch, I'm sure they'll fix it.

You don't need friends to play events. I'm not connected through FB and I've played every event the game has had and I've had no issues completing them.

If you have Cleveland, hold off sending him his 24 hour task to earn Valentine cards because he also has a task to earn stuff for Beautiful Peter. I've got to wait till tomorrow now as I didn't realise.

This event is off to a bad start. It is very difficult to select one vs the other, as the unhappy couple is not continuously fighting. And if you follow them to observe, got run out of time because they disappear. If you tap all of them quickly, your meter ends up right in the middle, nullifying your work. Seems very stupid. I've already gone through two rounds of lovers and my meter is in the middle.

If this turns out to be another event with cumulative prizes that simply cannot be obtained without spending money, it may be the final straw for me. Their poor game mechanics screwed me out of the grand prize for ComiCon, Ghostbusters, and white suit Stewie. I'm not going to "chase the dragon" again.
All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!

Meanwhile, I'm making the most of the New Year's Eve Tower glitch. I was a bit slow on the uptake of this one so have only completed one collection of items but 10 free clams are always welcome.

(ETA: store and replace the tower to collect stuff again. 10 clam reward drops on completion)

This is interesting information. Thanks for mentioning it, I'll go try it!

I wish there was more useful info in this thread and less posts that are cluttering. No one cares if you need 3 flutes, people.

Arnold will be a premium character for 250 clams; looking forward to the Terminator in my Quahog. 8) I just hope, "I'll be back" will be one of his sound bites in the game. Not going to sweat about the prizes, most of which will probably end in storage anyway due to lack of land. I just want the new skin for Peter and new character(s) this event.

None of the events have needed money spent to complete, speaking from my experience playing them.

All events were pay to win. Some have lifes you know. I only consider them playable for freemiums if you can complete an event while working fulltime without logging in during work. Just not possible.

Well, that's true. FGQFS is not built for the "once a day" player.

I find the best places to go for tips are familyguyaddicts and familyguytips. Both blogs are run by players who give stacks of useful info and it gets posted almost as soon as an update drops. It's worth reading the comments as well because glitches and recommendations get discussed there too. For example, check out the addicts site for how you can easily pick the right PDA couples. I'm getting the hearts I want every time now.

I like reading this forum to see how people are getting on and their experience with the game. Its also a great place to ask questions. It's all good.

A tip to help with the lovers. I condensed my roads down to one straight road and my maze block. That way I can view multiple lovers at once. If the guy kicks his leg out and dips they help love. If the couple parts a little and the chick raises her hand it is a broken heart. Once you tap on 5 of either kind the other kind goes away.

First time the lovers showed I only managed 2. With my single road and my chunk of road I can see most of the lovers at once and cleared only the kind I want.

Quagmire requires 15 hearts of one kind or another
Peter requires 50 hearts of one kind or another

Once you get the love or hate prize the prize list locks. So choose wisely, but it appears you can switch between characters. So if you like Q love prize but want Peters hate prize you can. Quagmire love prize helps make cards. IDK about his hate prize.

Any advice for unlocking the chumba wumba to craft at the brewery? I have chumba wumba Stewie and have completed the "clear 20" task. I have sent Pat to play the flute so I'm on quest 4.

It's very confusing because from what I can tell, both couples walk around with the man holding the woman. The "love" couple does do that dip, as well as kind of a hop. The "hate" couple has the woman slap the man before going back to kissing.

I haven't had the option to unlock him yet either.

I don't think any posts are "clutter" and Ive read every post in this thread lol

As for fighting or enamoured...you can only tell when they stop walking. The guys will either lean forward and backward OR the woman will slap him. Make less roads in your town to make it extremely simple
