Quest list? How to unlock houses...
Try having out everyone out at the same time & complete all quests regardless of who gives it to you. Some quests don't pop up until every thing else is taken care of.
For instance, lets say you gotta send homer to the quick-e-mart for an hour. Send the rest of the characters for hour long jobs and come back, so when you come back to finish it off, every one will be free again.
This is what I have always done and I'm level 20 with all building & characters unlocked and all quests done.
