i cant get the update?

Yeah, it's not updating on my kindle, either. (Though I have android devices, now, so I'm not as bummed as I once would have been.) I can't understand why, since the thumbnail in the store changed. My only thought is keep restarting the kindle until it works. Super bummer, though

I'm surprised were getting it so late as the start up screen was originally seen on kindle

I know, right? I was shocked there was a preview on kindle of all things, since it's always the last platform to get stuff. (Didn't even have the game until last June.) I'm less shocked that it was the last platform to get the update.

yeah, I knew it would be last, just I didn't think there'd be such a gap between Android and Kindle

Is it possible to clear the cache of your store? Amazon store or something? Not familiar with Kindle devices but clearing the cache worked to get the update ready on android.

As I have discovered literally all you have to do with Kindle Fire is swipe down from the top, hit settings then hit sync all content.
I'm supposed to have apps update automatically but always takes so long and usually with a lot of bother.
This works like a charm.

I have Kindle Fire HDX (idk what the X stands for) and it worked with mine
did that, deleted the app, redownloaded and now it's working

I know it's not "Kindle" but this is how my IOS update went down.

-Went to the store, searched "Tapped Out"
-Tapped out app was returned with "open app" button - still showed normal icon/splash screen
-Saw on forums update was posted
-Reopened store, re-searched "Tapped Out"
-Icon was updated to new one, had summary of new content
-However, the button still showed "Open app" instead of update
-I tapped "open app". The update started to download

So it worked for me even though it said to open the app. It still downloaded the updated version. So if you see the new icon, I would tap the open app button if it didn't change over to update.
