I miss Whacking Day.

Prev1
I missed it last year and was really looking forward to it. Easter is great but Whacking Day is all Simpsons.

I wasn't there for whacking day last year :( they are probably going to bring back whacking day next April if the game is around by then. Which I kind of have a feeling it will be I think its going to end at the end of 2015 but that's for a different forum post :)

What I like about Whacking Day is you know the prizes you are getting based on the number of snakes whacked, as opposed to random stuff in boxes this year that may be good (rarely) and junk (mostly).

I wasn't around last year for WD. I somehow doubt that if they do it, it would be any different than the wheels/boxes of doom. EA doesn't care what we think.

They would have done it anyway, to change things up, try something new and novel. Which they certainly have, all it would take is a few small tweaks to this event and it could be really great.

I doubt there's going to be a Whacking day event, because isn't this suppose to be some sort of Easter styled Whacking day event, instead of whacking snakes, we're zapping bunnies. I thought that's what was said in the dialogue.

So we went from whacking up 1000 snakes a day, or 500 if you didn't get the license. To about 200. Which if you glide your finger across the screen takes no time at all. The snakes used to disappear, if they showed up at all. Collecting snakes was a hassle.

How is this event hard at all??? Frustrating, annoying maybe even a bit unbalanced, but hard, no way. It couldn't be any simpler. I'm afraid if people keep complaining how hard this event is, what will they give us next. Complain about how awful the chance to win prizes, compared to earning prizes, but please stop saying this event is hard.

I really like gliding a finger across the screen instead of having to individually tap items, however I really loved the logistics of Whacking Day in which it was a count to work up to in order to gain the prizes. I'm also not big on the random thing.

I hate this random prize thing. I enjoyed working to get to the next prize that whacking day offered. I thought it was a breeze. I started it a week late and still ended with enough snakes that I could have completed it twice. I loved that format.

This is the same level of dedication with no reward. Well unless you have a thing for ponds, fences and more chances to win ponds and fences. That is all I have received.

I enjoyed Whacking very much, but this event is about a 1/10 level of dedication. This events I would say takes a total of a hour each day, whacking days last year took hours. I had to break up collecting, because finding those snakes was maddening at times.

I visited my town 4 times today, first to visit neighbors to collect eggs and trade in the ones I don't want, then 3 more times to zap bunnies, the first on took 20 min. The rest took about 5 - 10 mins.

They made the event very simple and the ability to actually get prizes extremely hard.

Right. Whacking day was a grind, but there was a guarantee. This one feels like I have to work hard just for a bit of luck.

BTW: Dropped you some pink...thanks for the blue. Although all it got me were 2 lousy fences :?

If they have dumped whacking day for this pile of crap that is easter event, EA should be ashamed of themselves

Yes, whacking day was a tough event, and time consuming, but after all the hard work put in to get the personal prizes you were guaranteed something for it, the personal prizes being the reward for all the hard work. It was a great event that just needed the addition of the later community prizes.

I can understand people saying this event is so much easier than finding snakes, and, true, yes it is, but what is your reward? Less eggs than snakes, and when you eventually do get enough eggs for a box, your guaranteed a prize that is nothing but a pile of crap! Gold eggs are impossible to generate, and while 4 of the prizes in there are worth it, the rest should NOT be in there. Those that are saying they love this event are also ones who complained about the wheel, yet they can't seem to see that this is THREE wheels with the same crappy odds.

Bring back whacking day EA, just add community prizes that we can all work towards as well

Whacking Day is still my favorite event this game has done so far. It was really fun and had some cool prizes. This easter event was just really boring and had awful prices.

I wasn't around for Whacking Day, and I regret it since it seems to have been a fantastic event. Things have definitely gone downhill since then. As TSTO has become an established success, I think EA has realized they can offer less and less to their players and still get them to keep coming back.

As for Easter, to paraphrase Winston Churchill, never before have so many had to tap (or spend) so much for so little. I think EA is trolling us a bit with the terrible prizes (egg piles?) and testing the bounds of just how much money they can get people to spend for utter crap.
