Think about it, if you spend 2000 common on boxes (4) - you could get possibly 200 gold eggs, a pond and fences. Or if you trade to uncommon - you'd have 1000 uncommon eggs - a chance at 600 gold eggs, or 300 gold eggs and a tree.

[switch out pond and tree if you are pink common].

Assuming you do hit 600 gold (possible), that'd be a gold box - and a chance at a rarer prize immediately (or everyone's favorite gate or pastel fences.

Trade!!! You basically exchange a basket for 200 eggs of the opposite color.
Say you give 400 blue eggs to a friend - you get 200 pink eggs. Friend gives you back your 400 blue eggs and gets 200 pink eggs. In recovering your 400 blue eggs you lose the basket.
