Getting rid of friends

Tap their name on your list and something like this will pop up:



Pretty easy from there.

Ummm... ok. I have NEVER seen that screen in the almost 2 years I've been playing this game. For reals. I go to the list of the towns, I have the three per screen on my iPhone 4s (I have updated to iOS whatever is the latest), I tap the person's name and... it takes me to their town. No screen with the option to remove them from origin. Nothing saying when they didn't play, etc. Anything I could be doing wrong? Anyone else have this problem?

Well of course you get their town when you tap their town. You need to bring up the list by tapping Bart and Milhouse. It's the same place as where you accept or decline invites.

Ok, I HONESTLY had no idea that was a thing LOL! Seriously, I've only approved friends via the log-in screen. I never even knew that such a list existed!! I'm tapping and removing right now!! Thank you!! :-)

And... I tried and all I get is this message, "An error occurred attempting to Unfriend this friend. Please retry". And... I get that with every person I try to unfriend. But, hey... !! At least now I know that list exists! Thanks :-)

On your town click on Bart & Milhouse.
Once your on the screen with Other Springfield and 2 other friends, Click on Bart & Milhouse again
This will take you to the list with all your friends name. Then as neuroheart explained. Click their name and Unfriendly in Origin

Glad I could help! And hey, I didn't know one could accept friends via the login screen, so we both learned something.

It'll work eventually. Origin has a fit every once in awhile, but it usually starts working again within an hour.

OK, I just clicked on the list and WHAM! Everything works perfectly now :-) Thank you so much, gang!!

Also, I just tried to check my friends list on the log-in screen like I used to and it seems as though you can no longer click the Origin button like you could before, so I guess you can't add or delete friends from the log-in screen anymore. Good thing I asked!! LOL.
