Well I read it and I agree with everything you said. I feel your pain!
This event has sucked the fun out of the game for a lot of people, I just hope they go back to the old system for future events, but I guess it depends which way makes them more money. :evil:

I have always enjoyed EA's events since i first downloaded the game on Android when it was released. Whacking Day was tricky to complete because of the limited number of neighbours i had, but i still got all but three of the personal prizes. Two of them are there for me in the future when i buy some more donuts. I never liked the repetitive task of placing eggs, but, got on with it anyway. Next major for me was Halloween, in my opinion, the best one EA have done. Xmas next, it was ok, lots of prizes, and like the other two, no need to drop donuts to complete the event. I always had praise for the game, i've always loved this game, it was always a half hour to an hour of enjoyment each time i played it. But it all started to go downhill after xmas. Terrible episode tie ins, Valentines 2014 being chance based, and now this. My patience finally snapped.
Your post highlights the fact this event is awful, and how it's turned players around against EA and the game, whether it be freemium players stopping playing the game for the event, or permanently, or whether it be premium players deciding they are stopping the buying of donuts and going back to freemium.
EA need to realise how bad this event is, how hated it is, and in order to do this, we need more people voicing their anger at the game, the event and at EA

It's Chalmers' 24h task survive off the land I wanna know what glitch caused him to be on the roof that's just awesome
I don't think it was a glitch. I think it was creative placement. If you have the balance beam and place it behind springfield elementary, you can make it look like lisa is doing her balance beam routine along the edge of the school roof.
