It was a couple weeks ago that they made the change. One update or another, I forget which. I liked the original version better.

Oh no! It's showing for me. I'm not sure how to fix it then.

I wonder why they decided to change it though. Why now? And why on a free, limited time building?
But thumbs up for EA improving the small details. I think it looks really good now. The 'before' wasn't that terrible though.

Some players were complaining how the Guinea Pig Center had a large dirt road; but, there were no dirt roads in the game and it would have to awkwardly attach to a paved road. The update half-heartedly addresses these players concerns.

Only the Guinea Pig Rescue Center was changed since it's really the only building in the game that suffers from this unique problem. Overall, EA was catering to a vocal minority, though, I don't think most players care either way. Thanks, EA, for listening to players, anyway.

EDIT: BTW, the pictures in the OP do not accurately reflect the nature of the change. While I realize the OP does not have a picture, you have to have a picture of the old Center connected to the main road to have a full appreciation of the new Center.

I've got that. I took multiple shots trying to capture the animation before it was gone forever.

I like the before better because even though it didn't look quite "right" connected to a road...at least it connected.

I thought something was different about the end of the little road, but I didn't put much more thought into it. Interesting...Anyways, I think I prefer it the way it is now. It was just a dirt road that led to nowhere before. Now it has a definite end. I wish they would give a dirt road option to go along with the pavement, concrete, river tools. If there was a dirt road tool, I would prefer the before version. It doesn't matter much anyway on my current design. I have a boardwalk fence running up the left-hand side of it, where the road ends. I placed mine in my rustic/rural area next to Cletus/Nelson/Crazy Cat Lady.

Yeah, I don't really mind it either way, but it would have been cool if EA gave us a dirt road tool. I hope that comes in an update one day. I could definitely use it around Cletus'/Nelson's/Crazy Cat Lady's/Guinea Pig Rescue/Brown houses.

We do need them but hopefully when/if they do it's the pavement where the buildings can go over it as well as connected

At least it abutted the road section where it was placed before. Now it doesn't look right to me. Heigh ho I'll live with it :(
