I think they will. I think folks will then complain about it, but I do think they will.
That's just a guess though so if you are going to be heartbroken if you don't get something and they don't, I'd give the eggs a try, but if you'd just really like something but would be OK without it, I'd wait. That's my current plan (still missing Father Sean and Shary Bobbins).
I'm saving all my eggs from now until the last hour of the event on the off chance they alter the odds, but i get the feeling I'm only gonna get Hugs and Shari by buying them when they're inevitably made into premium characters.

EA put a lot of effort in their tasks and animation.
No way they are not selling them specially since only a small percentage of us has been able to get them during the Easter event and almost all of us wanted them.
They have done this with almost all other event characters before. The last one was Maud.
Hugs Bunny will make a reappearance next year, but I'm sure that we will see Shary and Father Sean before that.
And even if they are a hundred donuts each it would still be cheap compared to the odds of getting them during this awful Easter event.

You would need 40,500 gold eggs to open 81 boxes (the guaranteed number)
If you purchase the truckloads, at 50 donuts per 4,550 eggs per truck ...
That would need 9 truckloads ...
Which will cost 450 donuts.
That assumes, of course, that you do not win the prizes before you open 80/81 boxes.
Would 3 playable characters, a nonplayable character and a building be worth 450 donuts to you? You'd need to decide that for yourself.

I bet that Bobbins will go for at least 120-180. They might add a building there just to justify the premium character after the event.
