Thanks for the tip. I don't have a Kindle (required to buy donuts via the amazon store), but I'll look around on Google for an emulator.

Wow! Hadn't heard about that half back deal either. I was going to save my coins for a Gil deal, but I don't think Gil can beat this...

So do you get 50% coins back for every single purchase?

2201 coins to start with can get 300 donuts for 1999 (+1000).
1201 coins left to get 132 donuts for 999 (+500)
702 coins left to get 60 donuts for 499 (+250)
    453 coins left to get a 12 donuts for 199 (+100)
354 coins left to get 12 donuts for 199 (+100)
255 coins left to get 12 for 199 (+100) with 156 coins left.

    That's 528 donuts for free?

I purchased 300 donuts on Saturday and got 1000 coins back which gave me a total of like 2200 coins I spent that to get 300 more donuts which i once again got 1000 coins back

so my balance was 1200 coins before you had posted i did everything you said I have about 3348 coins right now I can use

so right now I have already gotten 300 donuts for free

if i spend the way its been posted I should end up with around 1000 donuts for free

give me a few minutes and I will tell you my results here

If you're an Android user, there are 9 photography apps you can download for free today and get 100 free coins for each of them. Then, if you buy Grand Theft Auto San Andreas for 699 coins, you'll get 2,000 more free coins. So you end up with 2,201 coins ($22.01) that you can buy donuts with *on your Kindle.

Look for a green banner that says "Photography Favorites" in the App Store and it'll take you to the 9 free apps.

Unfortunately I think Amazon Coins are only available in the U.S.

I realized about the Photo apps but didn't realize the GTA game one. Good eye!

And yes, I love buying donuts through the Amazon coin system! My last purchase, I bought 10$ of coins for donuts and got 5$ of coins back :D

I see the apps, but they don't say anything about free coins. Also, they appear to be to large to install on my kindle. Boo.

OK- just bought 300, 132, and 60 donuts, and still have 453 coins left in case any more deals from Amazon come up soon.

Now- what to buy with my 492 donuts...

Yeah, I'm not getting coins for anything. Is either yet another deal that doesn't apply in America, or the first gen kindle just fails at everything.

The Photo apps are pretty small in size, and when you click on the app, right above the Free/Download button it says it will earn 100 coins. Unless the promotion just ended?

    Camera Zoom FX: 6.27 MB
    FireFrame: 5.45MB
    Paper Camera: 20.02MB
    Perfectly Clear: 26.34 MB
    Photo Studio: 13.44 MB
    PicFrame: 4.51 MB
    PicShop: 44.29 MB
    Rhonna: 46.71 MB
    Touch Retouch: 7.00 MB

    GTA: 95MB

Nope, not in my store. And when I tried to install one of them, it said I had insufficient space. When I tried another, it was fine, but I got nothing in terms of coins. Oh well. Why should anything Tapped Out related go right for me this week?

Try going to Amazon. com through your kindle browser instead of the App Store, and downloading it from there. It still says Earn 100 Coins under the price for me

I just found notes on the Coins- it says you earn them on 1st Gen if made through Amazon. com but it doesn't give you a notifications. Try that.

You earn promotional Amazon Coins for eligible purchases on Android and Kindle Fire devices (except Kindle Fire 1st Generation), or on the Amazon Appstore on Amazon.com.

Note: If you own a Kindle Fire 1st Generation, you can earn Coins for eligible purchases made on the Amazon Appstore on Amazon.com. We add the Coins to your account, but you won't see a notification on your Kindle Fire

    To earn Amazon Coins:

Go to the Amazon Appstore on your Android device, Kindle Fire (except Kindle Fire 1st Generation), or Amazon.com.
Purchase an app, in-app item, or game that is eligible to earn promotional Amazon Coins.

    Note:

After an eligible purchase, you can check your updated Coins balance on the detail page of any paid eligible item in the Amazon Appstore on Amazon.com.
Coins that you can earn on apps and in-app items are available on a limited time basis. Earned Coins expire on the last day of the calendar month, one year after you earn them. For example, Coins you earn on May 15th expire on May 31st of the following year.
Earned Coins (along with any other Coins we've awarded to you) are used first when making purchases with Coins.

Thanks for the great tips, it worked like a charm for me! I started with 411 donuts, downloaded the 8 photo apps, bought the Grand Theft game. I started off with only 2 coins and ended up with 2062 coins after Amazon charged me 699 coins plus tax for the Grand Theft game.

I bought 300, then 132, then 60, then 12, and 12 again and I now have 927 donuts in the game, for a total of 516 free donuts. I'm finally buying Barney's Bowling Alley and getting a character that I really wanted.

    Thanks again!

I have Amazon's store on my Android tablet. I was able to get 8 apps and 800 free coins. The only GTA that shows up is Vice City. Maybe San Andreas is only available on a Fire.

I have to say, without hyperbole, that this is the most helpful, awesome thread ever. Even better than thread that revealed the Squidport glitch.

I'm now sitting on $22 of Kindle currency just for downloading a couple apps. I'm trying to decide whether to blow it all on donuts or spend it on Kindle books.

Who am I kidding? I'm blowing it all on donuts! Crazy Cat Lady and Duffman, here I come!
