Useless search

Yeah, the search function is horrible. I use Google site search to search within the forums mostly. Doesn't work flawless but it gets results. For instance, if i wanted to see your posts I Google this term: site:http://forum.ea.com "kevfd"

Right above "Topic" at the top of the message list is a 'search this forum' box. It's been the best way to find something in here for me, after I realized the Search link searched all the EA forums.

The whole point of the OP was that the search function on this site doesnt work. And it doesnt. Guess you didnt read that.
I tried to provide an alternate way of searching, like he asked. I did not say it works flawless but it works. Especially if you specify a search term instead of just copy pasting my example (!) and judging it doesnt work. Or do you google "Eat" when you want to go out to dinner too?

For the most part I find this forums search function really easy to use (compared to some of the other forums I use). But I do have a really good memory and remember whole sentences word for word, what member posted in what thread etc.. Sometimes it's a bit of a scavenger hunt but I usually get there in the end!

The search function has always been bad but since the forum re jig it become a bit more tricky to find things, as you need to search each section, mainly the best one to search is the Game Section as that is the main forum part, unless you know that the topic was in another section of course :) It takes a bit of practice but the search function can work providing you search correctly in terms of wording etc. (still not easy tho)

You actually remember things people say? If I'd known that, I'd be more careful with some of the nonsense I bust out with

My problem with the search function is, if you search for something then you get like one or two pages of TSTO related stuff. Then sometime, mostly actually, on page three or four all the results are for TMNT's or NFS for some reason. It's rather frustrating. Especially if I am looking for something I know I typed and can't find it via search.
