I can get into my town with no problem (knock wood). I just have no friends list. However, it would seem some of my friends have access because I'm still getting some handshakes above my Christmas houses.
It would be nice if EA give us all 300 Santa coins for the friend visits we missed out on today. But I won't hold my breath.
I got logged off of Origin, and no Origin button means no login. I know it's just a game but it sucks I can't get back on.
Oh well, they'll extend the event and hopefully are upgrading their servers. So there won't be any more downtime.
I'm having no issues collecting coins from my houses, just my neighbor's houses.

its really depends on devices... it seems like everyone on iPads are able to get in but ppl on iPhone cant... though i cannot confirm as im not login to my account on my iPhone.
Friends are gone here too... good thing i still have 5 hours before i need to go on a collecting frenzy... :P
