I delete with prejudice. Once I deleted Ratman but quickly refriended him for fear of reprisal.

I was unfriended in less than a day.

Sent out a few friend requests yesterday afternoon. By bedtime all had replied. When I visited Springfield this morning 1 had left :-o

    Was it something I said????

I'm pretty liberal when my neighbors don't play - and also like to have a few lower level players to help out (as you noted in your 2nd post that someone helped us). Although I don't have that many neighbors, only about 30 now, it is easier to keep track of patterns - some are regularly away for a few days at a time. However, if the neighbor just doesn't seem interested - messy town, never visits, nothing to tap - after a week or two of paying attention to them I do Unfriend. I've only been playing since December 2013 so I'm not an expert at all.

Wow, a week is pretty fast. I mean, people do go on holiday without an ipad. I'm not taking my device with me in june.

Maybe they were friending people, visiting for the points, then unfriending them, and replacing them with more friends to get more points...

Hi! Welcome to the forum. Where is the North Shore, USA? The North Shore of Hawaii? I am kinda confused here.

:D If a reference to my neighbor/neighbour I just find it hard not to write in 'English' English rather than US English - probably looks pretentious though! :)

    Sounds fair to me.

it's your game so delete your neighbors when you want.

i have a full neighbor list but i have no problem deleting any randomly added neighbors to make room for forum regulars. It doesn't matter if they played less than an hour ago.

I normally allow 3-4 weeks and nothing to tap on the City, suggesting it's been abandoned. And, realistically, no one is going to get upset by being removed from a list on a phone game. Or if they do they have bigger issues than missing out on three Friends Points......

Lol - by the Great Lakes. Hawaii would be more fun...

Usually a couple of weeks, 2 or 3. I don't check too often.

With this lag going on I'm not deleting anyone though, I know some people have a hard time getting into their towns and me on my part have a hard time visiting them. So I don't feel the need to clear out inactive neighbours ATM.

I brought this topic up a couple weeks ago. I delete after 2 weeks of no activity. I figure there are those who go on vacation, etc. Also, I do watch for repeat offenders. Hmmm, maybe they are rich and gone a lot?

How long is polite and/or sensible before 'unfriending' a neighbo(u)r going by their last played info?

Most of mine are fellow level 40s, but a number haven't played in the last few days - and I'm deducing they are 'maxed-out players' i.e. done all the latest level quests, friend point prize, don't need any more in-game-$ because there is nothing more to do.

I've still got land and decorations to buy so welcome building up my cash pot still, plus I make a point of having quite a few 'lower level neighbours' too as it is nice to help them (we were all in their situation once)

By design or coincidence, it seems EA are introducing new FP prizes or levels at just the right intervals now to give maxed-out players something to do (e.g. today's anticipated update - just got 'Cool Lisa' today through normal play not donuts)?

Anyway, I'm rambling (sorry, first post :)

So, how long do you guys wait with an inactive neighbour before doing the deed?

    welcome.gif to the forum!

I usually give them a week or maybe more, depending if I'm trying to make room for someone else at the time.

It's not pretentious to spell correctly! :P

It depends on how good of a neighbor they've been. I just deleted a neighbor I'd had since Whacking Day, but it took me nearly 3 months before giving up on them. Others I've deleted after a week or two, if they are below Level 40 and not looking like they're progressing.

I only delete neighbors during an event where it matters if they're playing. Otherwise, I don't care. I have plenty of neighbors to get the FP prizes, so it doesn't matter if some of them are inactive.

If they haven't played for over a week I generally will unfriend.

Wow! It never occurred to me that anyone would go to all the bother of friending and un friending people for points!

Maybe it's good that the neighbour in question has gone?

Can you visit more than 100 neighbours in any one day?
