No, no, the problem it's that the first gen Fire app store doesn't give coins for some bloody reason.
I have a first gen Kindle Fire too I'm guessing the reason that it doesn't give coins is so that we'll buy a new Kindle. Bezos is kind of a jerk anyway.
I play on my kindle fire and I got the coins, but when I go to purchase the donuts, all that comes up is $19.99 it doesn't give me an option to pick the coins... am I doing something wrong?
This is the second time in a week I've gotten screwed by having a first gen Fire
Buy the free apps off of Amazon's site and you'll get the free coins. You won't be able to buy donuts but you'll be able use the coins for other apps. I was able to get the 2300 free coins even though GTA isn't compatible with my kindle.

If you have a 1st gen kindle you can't use coins for in app purchases (like donuts).

I would think it would work like the app store on the iPad. You pick the 19.99 then that amt is taken from your iTunes card if you have one loaded. So, since the coins are loaded, it should take them instead of using your CC. You might want to remove the bank info on your amazon account before just in case.

I actually don't have any bank info on there, I use my Amazon Store Card for everything :P I'm sure I'll figure it out, I just don't want to charge $20 for donuts if the coins don't work.

Oh, I thought you meant a 1st gen kindle like, before the fire came out. I think I got my fire the year it was released so I guess it's 1st gen kindle fire. That stinks.. okay thanks

I want to save up these coins for when I find someone to borrow a Kindle fire ie buy one myself.
None of them interested me but I wanted those coins, dang it!
I couldn't find that on the amazon app either. So I went to amazon.com and bought it with the coins there. Hope that helps.
Ooh, good to know! Thanks! :-)

You can still buy it even if it's not compatible. You just can't install it. I used my Samsung Galaxy S4.
