No More Visiting Notifications?

I turned notifications off, no way I could have this draining my battery every 10 minutes

I haven't seen it in at least a month.

I haven't had a "[username] has visited your town!" message in weeks.

I'd like a little popup that says "[username] is visiting your town right now!" when you're playing, or a notifications list in the Origin menus that covered who dropped in in the updates section.

How can you make it so you get notifications but just like a normal iPhone beep rather than Homer saying something?

Been a while for me. I did like the notificationss so I knew who was visiting. I did turn off the sound though. Got tired if homer saying "better out on pants" and getting strange looks from people

I can confirm it's since the beginning of Nov. (since the update after Halloween, was it Nov. 5th?) that this feature doesn't work for me anymore.

I never tried to change the sound, Homer's lines are too funny

Yes sounds off and you won't hear homer for a notification

The same situation exists for me as described by la_dadaista. Since the post Halloween update, I have not received a single visitor notification. I would prefer to receive them again as it helps to identify the socially active players on a daily basis inside the friends list.

yes at least a month has gone by and no notification of any visiter once.
Yet I still get notifications when the characters have finished their tasks.
