Santa's Little Helper: Is he worth 150 donuts?

Prev1
One of the worst priced items IMO. If they made him cheaper everyone would buy it. I can't justify 150 on a decoration.

One of the few premium decorations I refuse to buy (along with some of those random 40 donut items and the 300 donut whale).

I know. It's a lot to pay for a pretty small NPC. It's so frustrating because he's such an important character (at least, in my opinion). I think EA knows that he's very desirable and that they can get away with charging so much for him. I can get Krustylu or the Community Center for the same price and they would come with a playable character, building, and questlines. It's a really tough call for me because I really like him. At least they gave us Snowball II for free though. I hope SLH goes down in price, but I won't hold my breath.

I'm hoping one day gil will give us a discount on him. I get excited whenever him or snowball II are in an episode.

Holy moly! Is that how much he costs? If I recall correctly, he was the last free prize from the first x-mas event after collecting a bajillion santa coins. (the event that crashed the game for almost a week.)

    How much is Snowball II?

I can't find any rationale for spending 150 donuts on this, personally. He's 1) very small, 2) no multipliers, 3) no tasks, and 4) generates no funds.

    ymmv

That would be a dream come true. It's so hard to justify a 150 donut purchase for a NPC. Playable Maggie would be great too, since the three of them (SLH, Snowball II, and Maggie) are normally together. :-)

Snowball II is free, she's a friend points prize.

Hmm, I was unaware that there was no multiplier. That's pretty bad. What a bummer. He's the last Simpson family member (other than playable Maggie) that we don't get and he's a pretty important one. "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire", when they get SLH, is probably the best episode ever. I can't imagine that a lot of people buy him at the current price if there's no multipliers/tasks/$/etc. Maybe I'll just hold off and hope for a discount in the future.

    Why EA? WHY?!

Only buy if you feel that The Simpsons are not The Simpsons without their beloved canine companion. I only bought him for sentimental reasons.

Oh yeah, that's right. I'm glad that she was freemium.

Yeah, me too. That was definitely some consolation. At least we get Stampy and Snowball II for free. I'm hoping they'll add Laddie (the Collie that was the Simpsons dog temporarily) in the future too. Also, Pinchy (Homer's pet lobster) would be awesome.

I got him for free during the Christmas 2012 event. But he is definitely not worth 150 donuts. Especially since he's a NPC

Now if EA were to give him some tasks, then he will definitely be worth it.

1hr - Go for a walk (dual outside task with Bart)
4hrs - Go for a Race (Springfield Downs)
8hrs - Chase Snowball II around town (dual outside task)
12hrs - Look for scraps (Simpsons House)
24hrs - Sleep in Doghouse (Dog House)

The Dog House will be a new in-game cash item.

if it makes you happy then do it. if you really want it then do it. I have him I have no problem with him running around my town. oh well so I paid $10 bucks for some pixels, if you need to justify to yourself it less than 10 bucks. how much you get paid per hour? so that would be like one hour worth of work.

I will NEVER buy santos little helper! I lose of all the free animals I have in my town anyway, even massive stampy, so there's no way I'd waste donuts buying another one!

I wish EA would just hire you, clearly you have a better grasp of what the game should be like than they do! (And bring on just stamp the ticket man, too!)

That's a great idea. I always felt that he should have come with Springfield Downs since that's where he came from in the show. I wish EA would take heed of your suggestions. I'm sure they could make a lot more money off of him if they did what you suggest.
