Why is everyone anticipating a big update?

No just the Facebook post. But I think it's more than a hint. It looks like a teaser for the next update which I think will hit tomorrow.

They haven't confirmed it will be anything big, but it's not very likely they would start hyping it up if it's only going to be the usual level update.


Plus, I think it may also be people hoping it's big to make up for the extremely disappointing Easter update.

When i made my original post, i speculated that it may very well be The Stonecutters, after all, EA did tease about them after Xmas, and i can't think of any other reason for a huge rock with a chain attached to it being part of anything else. I didn't say about it being a big update, however, it may very well be just that due to the size and complexivity of The Stonecutters episode, with character skins, new characters, buildings, decorations etc being added to it. We will only really know when the moment comes and the update is released. Just my thoughts there though

Definately, there will be loads of stuff no doubt, me thinks something like

* Stonecutters skins for multiple characters
* Stonecutters HQ
* Secret Tunnel (not sure about that one)
* Abandoned Building
* Sky Blue Building
* Crashed Helicopter

Loads of potential for this one

Updates are short lived but welcomed. From
What I've read and seen, the stonecutter a seem to have A LOT of characters, storylines, and content related to it. I don't know if one update could cover it.
One thing I predict is that egg council guy will be moved out of the Easter 2014 character collection and he will be moved into a Stonecutters collection.

Chili cook off and monorail are not forgotten, just on the back burner for the moment.

Stone cutters has been long anticipated, so naturally speculation will be rampant. Speculation, I think, is what we seem to enjoy most around here.

I for one would proudly display the stone of triumph in my town if given the opportunity. Knowing EA, they will likely give us the stone of shame instead.

Are you kidding? That's literally five individual updates. This game already struggles with stability problems for most players (myself not included) so you want more land and upgrades in every aspect to the game? How entitled of you.

It's EA so I expect a misuse of a great episode in the simpsons history, donuts required for anything they choose to add which will be unplayable characters with no voices, ugly buildings that don't reference the episode and a story line that will last 24 hrs and remind us were idiots for playing this game.

True. I'm very excited about it. I just didn't want to get my hopes up too high after the Easter update debacle.

Those are perfectly reasonable predictions. I hope you're right. I'm very excited about it. I was just curious if I missed something. I don't really keep up with EA's announcements. Thanks for your insight. I can't wait for the update!
