Why spend money on something you can earn if you keep at it in the game? Give it a few days, it's only 6,500 emblems.

The store is worth getting on its own right without being tied to the event, should have an impact on the conform-o-meter when it gets adjusted after the event, probably with consumerism which is always needed.

I can't decide whether to get the pyramid or the alien?

I think I'd rather have the pyramid cos it'll look good with the other two buildings.

I had to have both. The pyramid is pretty cool, but the alien is quite cute. I like his task to phone home.

I think the pyramid was too awesome to pass up - as I now need stuff to add the new Egyptian part of my town! I've also been a premium player since day one but I'm not interested in buying donuts anymore. I have more characters than i'll ever need.

Yeah, this is the first event I've spent money on. Bought a truckload so I could get everything. Sorry I can't be much help.
