This is how i'm playing right now: i visit friends towns who already have the update, tap on spy cameras, then go back and collect money from the other friends who has not updated yet, i got one single donut on wednesday, none yesterday, and three donuts today.... Maybe i'M just lucky.

In the past few days, I've seen many postings complaining about the 60 emblem limit while tapping in their neighbor's towns. Apparently these people do not realize that once they have collected their daily limit on emblems, they have the chance to find donuts. The people who stop visiting once they collect their 60 emblems are missing out on this opportunity.

Personally, I am glad there is a 60 emblem limit, because I found two donuts yesterday and one today. I've found as many as five in one day (I have a full neighbor list), so I feel it's certainly worth the time it takes to go through my entire neighbor list, each day. When the Stonecutter event started, I was worried this donut feature would disappear, as it did during Easter. I appreciate that this event was designed differently.
I regularly (a couple every other day, or so) got donuts during Easter. This didn't ameliorate my dissatisfaction with the event, however.

Edit: The same is true for this event (re: getting donuts but not the dissatisfaction, 'cause I'm loving the Stonecutters event), so far. Of course, I began both events with maxed-out FP's.

Edit 2: FWIW, I remember reading somewhere I thought reliable (don't remember exactly where) that you must have maxed-out your FP's to start once again getting donuts while visiting friends. This matches my experience and makes sense - EA usually only gives donut opportunities after reaching a maximum level, whether in levels, an event, or in this case, a feature. As I said, FWIW.

My error. I couldn't recall if I collected donuts during Easter or not...but several people have reported getting donuts with both eggs and now emblems, so the only requirement is that FP must be maxed-out. Bottom line: be a good neighbor and visit each of your neighbors every day. . Everyone benefits!

Apparently the word Friends means you must help me but I won't help you.

I'm deleting everyone who only lodge clicks or doesn't visit because they have their 60 emblems for the day.

That is some serious dedication. I'd have to hire an accountant to be able to keep track of such minutae.

And by the way, I have yet to see a donut while visiting so far in this event.
Do you auto-collect when you visit friends? I do, and so often I only realize that I've gotten a donut because I've decided to dither in a friend's town (to see what they've done with the daycare center, say) and I hear Homer's dialogue, "Hmmm. Premium currency."

I dont auto collect, i just tap the buildings and then move on straight away and still manage to get the odd donut here n there :) not everyday tho. When i do see the donut appear i do tap that just to make sure i do get it

I'm the same way, when I see the donut, I tap on it to kinda confirm I get it, plus I like hearing Homer say "Mmmm Premium Currency". Otherwise, I just scroll over to the next neighbor.

This event feels like a social experiment. They want to see if you'll continue visiting friends even after you have practically nothing to gain. The donuts are an incentive but a very small one, and for premium players it's non existing.

If you guys want to get emblems from taps in your town, be sure to return the favor even if you don't get emblems by tapping in someone else's town. Common curtesy can go a long way in an event like this.

    I, too, have gotten donuts.

I do a run though to just click on the lodges, then I go back and click on everyone.

Whenever my FP are maxed out, I get about 2 donuts ON AVERAGE A DAY, BUT I also visit every one of my 100 friends pretty much daily (Sometimes I can't get around to visiting friends on Saturdays.. SOMETIMES!).. I DO NOT ALWAYS get donuts every day.. I visit everyone of my Friends' towns every day, whether there is an event going on or not, basically because I'd like the same from my neighbors.. But ESPECIALLY during this event I think it is IMPORTANT that Friends are visiting EVERY neighbor town because a big chunk of Emblems come from when neighbors visit YOUR OWN TOWN.. It's kind of like the old saying.. Do unto others as you would have others do unto you... If you expect your neighbors to visit you to HELP you, then take the 20 minutes to visit all of your friends/neighbors to help them! Said it before though.. To each their own! I'm gonna visit all my friends no matter what.. That's the point of having all these neighbors! Hehehe

I hear you there! I still have some friends who haven't even started the construction on the Lodge, but I notice that they're still playing the game.. So yeah I wasn't sure if they just haven't got any update yet, or like you said maybe just don't have enough cash to start the Lodge yet, but wasn't the Lodge pretty cheap?? Heheh.. Oh well.. I'm not gonna let the stragglers bother me.. I'm gonna keep them as friends because I have to assume that only a few friends who don't have cameras for me to tap isn't going to make or break me in this event.. I am at 6400+ emblems already and already about to get the 3rd prize..

I agree about common courtesy, which is why I always visit, promotions or not. I am noticing that about 25-30% of my neighbors don't bother to visit me, and over time I plan to replace them. I saw the same thing during Christmas, where I would drop 3 gift packages each day, but some if my neighbors would only drop packages once or twice each week, or drop only one package instead of three.

Even though you can get donuts and emblems in the same tap (no screenshot but it's happened I swear!), visit all your neighbors if you can. While you don't get the one emblem per tap after the first 60, they get as many as 5 when they clear it.

Given that this is the first event where it seems a lot more effective to be visited than to visit, if everyone only taps their first 60, it's going to suck for those people who picked screen names starting with letters toward the end of the alphabet.

It also means there 's more incentive for dropping people who aren't keeping up with the events. I haven't done this yet as there are several of my neighbors have built the lodge but still aren't showing the cameras when I visit. Maybe after this weekend I'll get rid of those still sitting at 0 emblems, but when I look at the last time they played, it's always pretty recent.
