Did I mention anywhere in my post that I can't afford it?

It was merely an observation. No need to jump down my throat. Jeez!

I think you missed OP's point. The concern is for newer players who are still building their towns and don't have stockpiles of cash.

was not meant to jump down your throat.
    just saying.
and it was not meant to you in particular. it was meant to everyone.

I'm one who is still building my town, although I'm almost complete with only about 6 or so squares of land left to buy - I don't have tons of money lying around yet so I have never taken the option of the replacement box for 50,000. I don't really think it's unfair to newer players any more than it's unfair to make the aspirational items worth millions of dollars and therefore impossible for players to get until they progress much deeper into the game.

Personally, I don't see a problem with newbies having to pay 150k for the donuts even if they can't afford it.

Back when I started during the super bowl event, I couldn't afford the racer car either. Tough luck for me.

If you search through the threads, I do remember seeing that someone posted the pattern for the location of the 3 donut bonus. If it's correct, you can always predict where the 3 donuts will be as long as you remember where you are in the pattern.

Someone posted a chart that told you which box had which donuts in and the corresponding number of times youve got the bonus. Cant remember where though.

You may be referring to my post here:
    http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/10105198.page

So far the chart is not following the one person who's posting data about his experiences. But more people may start posting data. Of course it may be random. The game does what the *code* says; which can override the data files.

I think it would have been nice to put it on a sliding scale.

A good rule of thumb for the new player: Once an event starts, stop spending cash unless you must.

Here is the best way to look at it.

The players who get the "BONUS" for the donuts NORMALLY other than THIS ONE TIME EVENT, have already reached MAX LEVEL as you can only earn this normally after filling up the XP bar once you reach MAX level. There are only 13 days left of this event and it will only affect a very small population of newer players that will finish the event.

I see what the OP is saying, BUT no need for the change as by the time players reach max level they SHOULD have a good handle on how they want to spend either donuts or cash

$150k for another doughnut still isn't bad if you have a house farm. I'm pulling in $200k/day, so it's easily recouped.

right now i have to blow millions on bloodmobiles to get 3 donuts so 150K is a bargain

I think it might just be for the event. Since it shouldn't take long to get 3000 emblems.

The 150,000 option is only on the emblems. When I leveled up yesterday I only had to pay $50,000.

I agree! For some people, it takes a week to get 150k! :-\

Holy crap! Easy people, the OP is just trying to look out for the newer players!

I haven't reached this part, but 150k is a bit much even for me, and I'm in no short supply of it either.

I thinks something is being missed here. The OP is talking about the 3000 emblem bonus donuts, and not the level up donuts. There is no reason that these need to cost the same.

Level up Donut change - $50,000
    3000 medal donuts - $50,000
