How much have you really spent on this game, are you too ashamed to admit it

I have spent only 4,5 euros in six months that I've been playing. That's equivalent to a pint of beer. I'm a bit ashamed of that, since my friend keeps teasing me for it. He thinks it's silly to spend real money to an app game. I wasn't going to spend even that little, but then there was an opportunity I couldn't miss! It was the Maude glitch, when Maude and the building were 25 donuts, I had to get them. If there ever comes similar opportunity, I know I will be buying donuts. I just can't resist a good deal when I see one.

Probably a couple hundred. I actually just bought $20 and like every time I instantly regretted it haha. I got 300 donuts and was only able to buy disco stu and arnie pye and I only have 51 left. Kind of a bummer that's all I can get for $20 real life dollars, but I knew that before I did it so I wasn't surprised. I'll probably do it again, although right now I'm telling myself I won't.

I've spent $500 or $600 on TSTO and I don't mind at all to admit it! It's a quality game, and even though times are tough for me right now I will continue to try to buy donuts here and there to support the cause and grab more cool decorations and characters as long as they keep updating :)

    Wow.

I would have a really awesome town if i could spend what some of you have reported. I'm not ashamed but maybe embarrassed that i can't spend anything on it. C'est la vie.
All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!

I'm in the zip all club, refuse to Pay To Play, it's money better spent elsewhere and you'll will never see again when the day comes you stop playing.

I haven't spent a single cent, but I exploited (well, going to) free amazon coins, a free dollar from google play credit given by a survey and a fair number of donuts as a compensation for my game issues. So with $0 I still managed to buy some premium buildings. I still consider myself 100% freemium.

I have spent about $400 on this game, and I'm actually thinking of going over to family guy because I heard you get more for your money, also the creators actually listen to ideas, if you want me to stay EA add a superheroes event

Not a lot. Ive only been playing since christmas though. In scratchers and a couple of the low end donut purchases, ive spent about 20 quid. Although, if a donut sale were to come along, id buy a boatload. Thatd get me most of the stuff I want and leave me with some leftovers for future events (really hoping Kang&Kodos are gonna be available again).

Started at the same time the cool brown house came out. I have bought truckloads every event and 1 boatload

$6 for me (rounding up). $8 if you count the bet I won with my spouse about who would win the Belmont. I've spent it all on GSO tickets and won 100 donuts on one, which helped me get Barney. I've been playing since February, so that's a little over a buck a month.

No regrets. Much better for me than candy bars. :-)

There are a lot of things you can claim about TSTO and EA. That the developers don't listen is not one of them. There have been numerous changes that were first mentioned/requested in these forums.

I spend money on this game....must have spent around 75 euros now. And I don't mind spending it. Indeed some day I might get bored and stop playing. But that's the sames for the Sims on my computer or Pokemon on my Nintendo. And those games cost money too. As long as I'm enjoying it, I will keep paying.

I used to laugh at anyone who would spend money on a virtual something - then I started tapping. Someone (a few months ago) suggested that buying donuts is not much different than money spent on any other entertainment. I've spent several hundred dollars - and that does seem like a lot on this game. But a day in NYC for 4 of us cost well over $250 (transportation - and not counting airfare - and lunch [there could have been a cocktail involved]). That was fun, so is TSTO in a different way. I don't feel ashamed for spending the money, I am careful (don't buy everything) and enjoy the game several times a day. This game involves some creativity, strategy, and time. Good for my brain!

$1, but am considering going to the dark side. Although after reading that end of tapped out thread, I'm not sure. Where will my shiny new purchases go then?

Maybe *poof* ... like that movie you go to see, or that show you enjoy on cable TV, or the gas you buy to go to a friend's house for an evening. Why worry? ENJOY yourself!

hm... good point, I will consider, although I am having a lot of fun already.

btw, I can never see these videos in the forum. I'm using the google chrome browser. Maybe because it's flash based?

Well over $200. That's all I know. I am too lazy to count since I bought so many premiums. Plus some of them were bought with gift cards and Amazon coins so that makes it even more confusing.

It is a link to a youtube video in this case. I can tell because the code for it is above where I'm typing!
And I think it is flash. Right click it and look at the menu.

FYI, just "quoting" a reply has taught me a lot about how things are done on this forum.
