I want the 300 coins I'm missing out on!

Prev1
If you can collect 300 coins a day you're going to run out of update content long before you run out of time to collect coins. Deep beath, everything will be okay. :)

With 23 days left to go until the specified end you should be able to get 6900 coins not including any form trees, buildings or tasks. This is plenty to get everything so don't worry that by missing one day you won't get all the stuff you wanted.

Math skills! All too rare in the forum, it seems.

6900 minus 300 per day that Origin sucks. The Christmas update has been live for more than 6 full days now and I have managed to collect only three times. At that rate, it is more realistic that you will get 12 x 300 = 3600 coins.

And the total cost of Mapple, the Bowlarama, the Try-N-Save, Santa's Little Helper and the two funzos is 4050 so even by your conservative estimate you're still pretty close to all of it before you factor in coins made from decorated houses, the tree, completed tasks, Santa sacks, etc.

let's not forget that each time The Simpsons has run a special ala Halloween and Thanksgiving the special holiday theme has run a little extra over the original planned date to end the holiday. so u might get a few extra days to collect

Also this is assuming they finish on the day they have said but based on the last two timed events this unlikely so should be able to get more then. Based on everything costing 4050 coins this allows you to miss 10 days before not being able to get everything and this is still not including sources of coins other than friends.

Except they did announce a hard stop date of Jan 3, compared to Halloween with no date mentioned. This said I understand being annoyed, you expect a product to work as it should. This said to the this said, whatever, it is all fine, it will work out and we will get everything we want and can get

I'm not worried. I am currently waiting to unlock the try n' save and I have around 830 coins. I'm pretty sure I'll get enough before January to buy SLH and the funzos.

The Halloween stuff had a hard announced end date of October 31st. Go back and look at the "Where's my update?" threads from November 1st.

    That's pessimism, not realism.

Still don't have the origin button but strangely enough I was able to see and visit all my friends to collect. Anyone else able to do this?

I have nothing to base my expectations of future server performance on other than down time since the update. That's pragmatic realism, my friend. I surely hope that they get everything fixed and permanently stable in the near future... but this WAS the update that was promised to improve performance, and clearly it has not worked thus far.

I'm not worried about it... Apple refunded the money I spent on premium Christmas items, so now I am just eagerly awaiting the return of any playable version of the game.

I demand the six hours of my life I've spent playing this game back!!

Eh, I'd probably just waste them anyway...

I was able to, got half way through my friends list and the game froze, now they are gone.

Clearly the best choice is to continue hammering the retry button until things work again. Because that surely will help lower the server stain.

When my power goes out I also think turning on every light, appliance, and gadget at the same time helps it to come back on faster... :D

all I care about is that I've got a building finished that I cannot continue with, and all the coins I'm missing out on now from tasks, and friends visiting. this is ridiculous.

lol...I miss visiting your Springfield. Day 4 with no friends. Let's see if the math police with their constant relax posts are going to deduct the 300 coins for yet another day lost.

By the way, your figures are not taking into account the 50 coins per house decorated just to get the whole thing started.

50 coins to decorate but you get 10 of those back instantly and at five per day you turn a profit on that investment in eight days. If you're concerned about not having enough to get Santa's Little Helper by the 3rd then decorate as much as you can right now.
