So say instead of tapping buildings when you visit friends you could tap on a character on a task to take say 30 minutes off of the time left on that task... Do you think this is something that could be added to the game to help speed up the wait time for tasks for your neighbors?

I can see where you're coming from and during this event they would've been helpful. It would be good during events. They did something like this during valentines day to earn event currency. But usually unless I'm sleeping I don't put my characters on task so I'm not sure how it would work for everyone.
