What makes a good neighbor

Prev1
Unless it's during an event, I'm not that bothered if neighbours visit. For me it's more important that they have well designed towns that provide me inspiration. Also unconventional uses for items

Tappable buildings, clear pyramids frequently, 3 taps on my town rather than none or just lodge, no arnie on helicopter and at least some organization in the town: I see some towns with a lot of premium stuff where the buildings are just tetris'd together without even a single road.

After this event ends I won't care much about handshakes in my town (unless there's a new FP prize), just clear yours.

Oh and my neigbors must not have CBH, mapple, falls and black hole, because that makes me envious.

Neighbours who visit daily in an event.

Not so bothered out of events, even though I tap daily regardless event or not.

I like roads, but thats my view, even though I can never understand why people don't put in roads. I wouldn't delete for that, unless grouping everything together and house farming makes me crash.

Some SF's are a pleasure to go on, some not so much, but it is what it is.

just someone who updates and plays regularly

if an event like this comes up and after a week I see a "zero" beside their emblem total then it's bye bye :)

Basically what ever doesn't annoy you. If anything your neighbors do or don't do gets on your nerves then delete them. There is NEVER a shortage of people needing neighbors so.

It can be anything from selfishness during events or the way they spell their name or decorate their town or whatever. Only you really know what pleases and displeases you and that's for you to decide.

It's a game that is meant to entertain you and make you smile. I know some people stress over if and when they should delete a neighbor and why.

Now as far as your behavior and being a good neighbor yourself then it's important to visit your friends daily if possible during events. In between events it's dealers choice. If you have the time and want to visit then feel free.

Sometimes there are pointers that apply to a specific situation that are neighborly to follow. For example the tapping of the lodge that gives your neighbor 5 instead of 1 emblems. The extra taps on squidport tiles, farm etc., stuff like that.

Just tap away and be happy. :D

    Visit every day

(For this event but same for the future events if applicable)Do not just tap lodge only and continue to keep tapping lodge 1-5 hours later, get all 3 of your taps in at the same time. Even if do 3 taps throughout the day I remove because that bugs the hell out of me.

Keep your town tap ready, if I cant tap 3 buildings, I do not come back around to see if buildings are cleared til the next day.

I personally hate the look of house farming. If i deleted everyone who did it, I would have about 5-10 friends. At least if you are gonna house farm, make it look like a subdivision where its lazy contractors putting up the same prefab buildings up in a row to save time. Including decos like trees/fences,etc. to make it look good and not pushed up against each other.

Oh and dont hack. If you have multiple items of something youre only supposed to have 1 of. You'll get delete.

Thats all I can think of right now.

I prefer to be neighbors with a completionist. Sadly most will not friend me as I do not have all holiday items.

Question for you kids - what qualities do you look for in a good neighbor?

For me, I like for my neighbor to visit me and for my neighbor to have buildings cleared so I can tap on them.

    Other ideas?

That's my main criteria also. And these would cause me to unfriend...

    - Game hackers. Example: 90,000 (exactly!) pink/blue/gold eggs on day 2 of the event!
    - If hate speech written in the town. Never had that, but I've seen post of such.
    - Name changers, when they do it to be at the start of the list. These are almost always covered under
nonvisitors also, so they'd be gone for me anyway. Don't take offense those of you who have such names. It's just my personal choice. I'm sure you can find friends. Never had that, but I've seen post of such.

Interesting topic. Thanks for the thread.

That's pretty much what I go on too. I don't keep track of who actually visits my town since there's so much to tap; I see the same names come up again and again, but I don't know who isn't visiting. As long as there's something to tap when I visit them, I don't really mind. Last Halloween I deleted one of my close real-life friends because he wasn't playing, and I told him right to his face that I can't have dead weight during an event :-)

I appreciate truly creative neighbors, but the design of someone's town doesn't affect my enjoyment, again, so long as there's something to tap. If you want to have a house farm with 500 open spy cameras, so be it.

Definitely not a fan of hackers, and don't need them as friends. I'm a casual-premium player, so it bothers me that people essentially steal when I'm coughing up money (especially when I swore I would never spend a dime).

Naw you made me laugh. I'd be your friend but I have the falls.

I like your town to have things to tap. If you haven't got things to tap I'm not happy. You also get deleted quicker now that android can delete from the app. 3 times of no tapping and your out.

    When I un-friend it's either for:
    1. Not having anything to tap plus not playing for a week or 2
    2. Having cr** everywhere, just a mess of buildings

This says it all. For this event, I don't mind lodge-tappers, as long as they end up leaving me 3 pyramids each day. Unfortunately, I have noticed that once some players collected their Satan's Anvil, they've started to slack off. I had fewer visits yesterday vs a week ago. The event isn't over! Keep tapping for those donuts...

Neighbours who dont have their music loud all the time and are nice not a pain!

Oh wait you mean the game :P

Good neighbours to me are ones that tend to visit a couple times a week and visit often during the events :)

I don't care if you house farm, assuming it doesn't cause my game to crash. I don't love Arnie or Homer in the sleigh, but not everyone uses them every day. I don't care if you graffiti my town or lodge tap or KL tap. I don't expect visits every day when there is not an event or new content. I didn't care if you didn't give me tons of eggs or gift cards or drop gremlins.

Just clear your own damn towns and visit during events.

Mostly all good & pleasant neighborino advice...
Really dig seeing those w/highly creative townscaping, lakes/ponds, & intelligent use/scaling of housefarms if in use. Just to note to my groovy neighborinos: I'm running bit short in emblems so began lodge-tapping for final week w/both my town's (zxtrm1 & zennglenn), so nobody get ****; will always complete the 3 taps by midnight 8)
