That's awesome. My gf, scoobyrule2 (add her! :P ) just asked me how much it was today, because it's her next building to buy. Now I can tell her. Thanks!

That's much less than I paid, lol. Wasn't it over 200k originally? I really can't remember.

I like that they reduce the prices as new stuff is released. It helps to keep a balance in the game. Players who are already maxed out and unlock it immediately pay a premium compared to others, but they're also the ones with resources to blow (and not much else to spend those resources on). Once the building has been passed on by a new update, they reduce the price so those still working towards it don't have to spend a lot of time, or resort to house farming to achieve the purchase.

EA has been full of some major fail on more occasions than I can count, but this is certainly one aspect that I have to give them props for.

Woohoo! Thank you for the good news.

I'm still in the process of buying land so I can get the prison situated in an alcatraz paved setting. Taking my time building my buildings, the prison has been available for a week now and I don't plan on starting it for about another 2 weeks. Tons of land to buy! Plus, daily 10 hour outages makes it hard to make as cash as I used to....shrugs....good thing I'm not rushing through this.

Maybe if I take long enough then other things will drop in price?

The price of a number of buildings has reduced, including the Post Office which was originally over $200K.

Seems as new stuff is made available lower level buildings get a bit cheaper.

So it sort of favors us "turtles" who take forever to get through the game? LOL (I'm trying very hard to be positive today and stay that way when the daily outage occurs).

I wouldn't say it favors anyone. Like I said above, it just balances things out. The people who are already at the level when they release pay full price, but those coming up behind don't get punished by having to spend endless amounts of time earning enough to purchase it, just to have another higher priced building coming up immediately after.

If they didn't lower the price on previously released top level buildings, they'd just have to keep increasing the price of every new building they release following them. Eventually the prices of each building would be ridiculous, and the light at the end of the tunnel for newer players would be pretty dim (which is a problem similar games have encountered in the past). Instead, they adjust the prices, and keep the carrot dangling right in front of your nose.
