I'm glad you guys got it working. I think you could have pulled it off without nuking, though.
When I had this problem with my main town last year, I googled to find several message board posts indicating that storing the cooling towers fixes it. I tried it, and it worked like a charm. Later, when I had the same problem with one of my feeder towns, I knew exactly what to do -- store the cooling towers.

That didn't work, nor did the orange house trick, the storing of Burns' Manor, etc.
We were literally at our wits end trying to get this thing to build.
Hooray! I'm glad you two found a remedy. I hope you have fun rebuilding and I look forward to telling other tappers who can't get the hospital to build that they should nuke their town. Lol.
This solution will be my last resort...and also will have to wait a few days while I wait for the Tooth Chipper to finish building. I'm literally down to nothing but quests that need the hospital and the one KL quest to build the tooth chipper...I'll get that cleared and try the nuke...been wanting to restructure for a bit anyway

Krustyland is SEPARATE from Springfield. If you nuke one, the other doesn't get affected.

Shucks!!! When I noticed the nuke today, I thought that might work. Four times through level 41 & 3rd time through level 42, yet hospital still locked.
I did a live chat yesterday giving them the id number of my game, Manish said it was being fowarded on and will take 2-3 days. I'm not sure it they will force it with an update, or contact me by email. We'll see.
My Hibbert Family Practice questline was stalled until I finished the Executive Lackey questline, as soon as Smithers finished the last one, Dr, Hibbert was prompted to start back up his quest line again.
NO, it DID work. I was responding to the other poster who was talking about various other "fixes" that didn't work in my wifes Springfield.
To summarize..
I had tried to do the orange house trick, the storing of various buildings/characters, etc.
I had to nuke her town to in order to make the quest pop
OK. Hope the Live Chat will yeild the unlock. Otherwise good to know that the fix worked for you, and pray it will work for me if I need it. I have not been playing long, & think I would nuke sometime in the future to change it up. Otherwise, it is going to take a while to rebuild.
OK, My wife was at level 41 and simply couldn't get the hospital to build. I had tried EVERYTHING that was suggested by forum members, all the other sites, etc. I GOT IT TO BUILD FOR HER TODAY!!!
While it may seem extreme and time consuming, I sat down with her and decided that we should press the nuke button. Well, after doing so and we started placing buildings, after we placed Hibbert's practice the questline started.
Now what we did was start with ONLY the buildings that have characters and had a VERY small strip of road to keep them on (about 7-8 lengths). We just placed buildings with no rhyme or reason and after Hibbert started the quest, we placed ONLY the buildings needed to continue the quest line as they were needed.
For those that haven't found the quest line here is how it goes
Hibbert Family Practice - $53,500 (24 hour build)---added to game on 12/5/2012
Main Quests:
1. Skinner prompts the building of the Hibbert Family Practice. (Hahahahaha Sucker)
Side Quests:
1. Bart go for checkup (10 min) (Bart's Checkup)
2. Hibbert practice medicine (12 hours) (General Practice)
3. Grampa go for checkup (10 min) (My Pills!)
4. Cleetus go for checkup (10 min) (Cleetus' Condition)
5. Luigi go for checkup (10 min)(Luigi's Growing Problems)
6. Quimby go for checkup (10 min) (Mayorital Difficulties)
7. Burns hide Nuclear waste (8 hour) (Medical Industry Corruption)
8. Hibbert deal organs on black market (4 hour)(Grey Matter)
9. Kent Brockman go for checkup (10 min) (Kent Afford It)
10. Make Hibbert sacrifice his principles (6 hour) (Corporate Sponsor)
11. Hibbert, Krusty, Brockman dine at Gilded Truffle (2 hours each) (Show Biz Life)
12. Krusty Promote a new product (8 hours) (Kramp Krusty)
13. Homer/Comic Book Guy/Chief Wiggum eat at Krusty Burger (30 mins each) (keep Hibbert free) (The Flavormax)
14. Dr. Hibbert prompts Homer/CBG/Wiggum go for check up (10 min) (Business is Picking Up)
If you need further help, here is the link to the entire walkthrough. MAKE SURE NONE OF YOUR CHARACTERS HAVE NO YELLOW TASKS AS THIS WILL PREVENT THE BUILD ALSO IF IT WAS A REQUIRED TASK!!!

OK, so I nuked my town and only built the buildings I needed to do this quest and it worked... until the last step where he triggers the building of the hospital. I've done every other task/quest so the only thing still in yellow is to build the Hospital. I'm adding other buildings now according to the walkthrough because there must be something else that's needed to trigger it. Any suggestions? I've added more orange houses as I've read elsewhere and nothing, also more than one Krusty burger.

Those are the quests that are needed to get the hospital to build. MAKE SURE that all the characters that are listed above don't have any yellow colored tasks, as they are needed for the next one to trigger.
So it asks if one wishes to store all. Does that include Homer's home? Read somewhere that it can't be stored. Does nuking the town request the quests? Did you add the buildings in order and than when the practice was added it "popped" the quest to the hospital? My concern would be he time it takes to complete the quest, though would be good to do now since I'm done with the stonecutters quests & don't want to mess up the 4th of July update.

It won't store the Simpsons home, Lemon Tree, Squidport entrance, or Krustyland Shuttle. The quest to build the hospital isn't that long, and even if we get another update as long as the questline is started it won't stall. I would suggest to go ahead and nuke your town, and place buildings/characters according to the walkthrough and let the quest pop. Here is a very quick summary of what I did
1. Nuke Springfield
2. looked at walkthrough here http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/9626421.page
3. Placed buildings IN ORDER according to how the walkthrough said (cletus farm, purple house, Krusty Burger (one with Krusty), Blue House, Van Houten house, Pink house, Springfield Elementary, White House, Willies Shack, Gulp-n-Blow (one with Apu), Power Plant (all 3 buildings), bart's trehouse, Library, Androids Dungeon, Church, Orange House, Java Server, Moes, Jakes Hair Place, Springfield Downs, Gilded Truffle, Police Station, King Toots, Luigi's, Skip's diner, Springfield Penitentiary, Retirement castle, Town Hall, Muntz house, Krabapple apartments, Channel 6, and finally Hibberts family practice)
REMEMBER JUST PLACE THEM WITHOUT CARE AS I WILL EXPLAIN LATER!!! JUST LINE THEM UP OR PLACE THEM WHEREVER YOU CAN!!!!!!
4. When Hibbert appeared he INSTANTLY got the exclamation point above his head to start the quest. We sped up the questline to get to the point where the hospital would build, and then we nuked the town again so she could rebuild how she wanted to.

Do tasks get wiped as well? Chester Dupree, Apu & Number 2 all need the hospital, and is only in yellow if I tap on their quest. I take it that that the roads, payent & rivers disappear allowing one to recreate SF. I will also wait to add Chester Dupree, as I believe he may have contributed to it getting stuck.

Also thought Apu came with the Kwik-E-Mart?
Yeah, he does come with the Kwi-E-Mart. I was almost asleep when I was typing. The current quests that you have going will stay there and you won't lose progress on current ones. Say you are on step 5 of a certain quest when you nuke the town, it will stay on step 5 when you come back. And YES, everything disappears, all buildings, characters, roads, rivers, decorations, etc. as I stated the ONLY things that remain will be the Simpsons home, Lemon Tree, Squidport entrance, and Krustyland shuttle.

Take it you followed the guide to put back in order to POP the quest? Or did the nuke reset all the quests?
