Yep, the donuts are still coming from visiting neighbors. As I mentioned in another thread, there does seem to be a possible problem though that donuts won from neighbor visits don't count if you don't wait for them to be collected before going to the next town.

I haven't had an issue with this. I don't collect anything and just move on. Half the time I don't notice there were donuts and just see the increase when I get back to my Springfield.

I read that. However, I never wait to collect them. I tap three times and move to the next neighbor. Everytime. I didnt even know I had found 3 donuts until I got back to my town.

I'm not entirely sure, honestly. I usually don't pay close attention, just clicking three times in each town and then moving on. Sometimes I'd go back to my town and see more donuts, sometimes no additional donuts. But one time, I was quite sure I'd seen three or four donuts pop during my daily visits and, when I went back my town, there were none added to my total. I shrugged it off. This happened again another day soon after. Since then, I watch for donuts and, if I see any pop, I wait for them to be collected. Doing this, I've never lost out on any donuts.
It's utterly random. I got none for a few days, then got four in one sitting. Whinging about an update because of something this arbitrary and unrelated to the actual update is the height of ridiculous, millennial entitlement.
I've been experiencing some drought, as well. Of course, it could be due to all the crashes and difficulty visiting. I haven't been able to hit all 100 friends in the same day for about a week.
Around the Stonecutters time and shortly after I was going through a drought. I went from finding about 3 a day down to none for what seemed like weeks (and yes it was after maxing out on FP again after KBBL).. Few days ago it started to change - 2 days ago I found 1 donut, then yesterday I found 2.
I tell myself that its just the game "balancing me out" since I went for quite a while pre-Stonecutters finding sometimes even 5 a day!
Reminder that I always feel is worth repeating.. You wont find any donuts until you have maxed out your friend points. Just another incentive to visit all your friends daily if you can.. Once you've gotten all the FP prizes you can start finding random donuts. Totally worth the ~30 minutes!

I'm not whining (Check your spelling) It could be said the the antecedent was the update since it's consequence is the lack of receiving donuts since it dropped. If anything is ridiculous it is your response.
Edited for clarification: I am maxed out on points and I wait to see before going to the next neighbor so those aren't issues. I guess I just hit a really big drought spell which is a shock since being spoiled for so long. Glad to hear so many are still getting them. Perhaps I'll have better luck in the future.
I've never had a single donut from friend clicks either, is this something that was blocked from newer users at a certain point ?
Nah, I joined about a week before Stonecutters began, I received KBBL two days ago, and I've so far earned 4 donuts from diligent neighbor tapping. This has got to be a random algorithm-determined distribution. Maybe.

Now, I'm not saying Richard is in the right with his comment, but "whinge" is a perfectly cromulent word.

Donut drops per day with 100 friends since 6/21/2014...

My average has dropped about 1 donut a day.
I've read on other sites that on some devices the donuts do not show when they drop, but they do count. Bunny on addicts has reported this. She keeps close track of her donuts; taking screen shots in her SF before and after visiting friends so she can compute what she gets. Also reports, as mentioned above, about not waiting long enough before pushing the forward town visit button causing $,XP,donuts etc. to not count. Wait until the items touch down at least.

Almost identical responses, lol....

One at the very beginning and the other almost at the end of my friends list.

I'm not tracking in my new town, but I'll start.
