I totally agree with the OP. The prices are getting ridiculous, but it's our own fault, we keep buying at no matter the
cost, (bought the CBH, the other stuff I can live without it, I don have the Mayan stuff, but the price is outrageous)
This forum represents less than 10% of their total players, (this is an educated guess) so even if we all stopped
buying donuts, (which is never going to happen) it would not even make a dent on their pockets or as always they
will increase more the premium content.

As a big wrestling fan, I'm thinking about getting Gorgeous Grampa but with only a 3 part questline, and for 75 donuts; it's kind of absurd. I totally agree though this event is a major letdown as I was expecting Level 43 sometime this week. July so far has been a total disappointment imo.

LMAO! Playing this game religiously will make you get on welfare in real life!

I'd prefer to keep my real money in my wallet and spend it on real things, not spend it on virtual money and act like an entitled little child...

I'm actually happy I ran out of milk who knew dunking my donuts in the tears of the poors could be so delicious.

I guess the pricing model must work for EA in terms of maximizing their profits, but it actually serves as a disincentive for me. I've never spent a dime on this game, even though I'd like to have a number of the premium items. Not that I haven't considered spending money; if I could spend a few bucks here or there to acquire nice premium stuff, I'd do it. But since everything decent is so expensive, my wallet never opens. I can't justify spending so much for so little. And obviously, the price inflation is only getting worse over time. Maybe someday EA will decide their pricing model isn't working and will cut prices; who knows, that may actually increase their profits as a bigger group of players decides to enter the premium market.

Last year all the items I bought at the garage sale disappeared so I'll skip this one.

Lame lame lame. Everything costs donuts now. This game is slowly turning away all us freemium players. I guess I'm tapped out... I can understand maybe 50 donuts for these things, but 120 donuts for the cool brown house is just...
If anything give us some more decorative items we can buy with all this cash I have saved up!

I agree it is overpriced but I am happy they offered it.

I thought the idea of a 'yard sale' was to sell unwanted old stuff you no longer wanted for cheap, not exploit 'must have' desperados for old event items they missed out on, and I notice it's priced in donuts. Shame on EA

$20 cdn for the 300 donuts to buy the Mayan pack.....WEAK!

Really wanted it too as I started playing just after the 2012 Halloween event, but seriously for that price I'll just keep on wanting.

Yes, I'm going to respond with Smart Ace... but since u are so humble to decline compliments, I withdraw my response.

I applause EA for this type of Yard Sales! ... Hope more Yard Sales coming!

Granted the price in donuts is steep, but it is a second chance for players who missed the limited-time items. Anyone who's given the second chance must be prepared to pay for the price.... if the limited-time items were free previously, be prepared to pay good donuts to own them now; for premium limited-time items, be prepared to pay even more donuts. This is fair to all other players who owned these items during the limited-time period.

"The poors"? I bought the Mayan stuff, but I can recognize that it's overpriced. Nobody is asking for anything for free. We just want things to be more reasonably priced. Try looking at the situation objectively, instead of through your condescending, snobby perspective. I'm a premium player who as put plenty of money into the game. Some things are overpriced, some things are reasonably priced, and a few things are a good deal. Recognizing this does not make one "poor". I think that you just enjoy the feeling of superiority you give yourself when you call your fellow players "poor" (something that is actually pretty insulting to REAL poor people). Feeling superior and actually being superior are not the same thing.

Well I was really happy to get the opportunity to get some items that were released before I started playing, even if they were a bit overpriced. Sorry for people who missed out on items they really wanted.

Meh. All of the premium stuff is overpriced if you want to look at it that way. I mean, none of this really exists, right? I do agree that the Cool Brown House is ridiculously over priced though, even by the EA casino standards I'm used to seeing.

"Every 5 m earns $6, 1XP". Now pay me 120 donuts. Uh. No, thanks?

More like Un-Cool Brown House, amirite?

Wow you're a dumba**. This is the last time I'm going to respond to your response and I don't even know why I'm giving you this gratification. If you think spending money on this game makes you rich, you need to really grow up, or get your priorities checked. Having your mommy and daddy pay for your games doesn't make you rich. It makes you a spoiled little brat who doesn't know how to respect others. Let's see how that goes for you in the real world...

And if you're a grown person saying all this... Well I wish you luck with your life.... I think that's the politest way to put it.

PS: apparently I'm not the only who thinks what I think, so maybe you should rethink your position. Not that I care, but being the odd one out isn't really helping your claim against me...

Anyways thanks for your delightful insight. It was very much appreciated!

Last year all the items I bought at the garage sale disappeared so I'll skip this one.
My whole Springfield disappeared after the first Treehouse of Horror Event. I never figured out quite what happened to it but in the process I lost the Mayan set, the cool Brown House, and the Mapple Building, as well as the Nuclear Lab. I stopped playing for awhile because of it and lost the chance to acquire the Grandpa outfit and the July 2013 items. So the recent chances to get them back including this yard sale have been welcome even though it could be argued I never should have lost them the first time since I had an origin account.

I still don't know what happened. I'm just glad the things I was missing were offered and hope that I can somehow still get the things I'm still missing. Like Duff Balloons, power cells, waterfalls and more land to build on.

If welcome more new Krusty rides too! I understand the complaints some had about this yard sale, but I'm not assuming that it's this seasons only yard sale like they are. Homer is perfectly capable of raiding Lisa's Bedroom just like he raided Bart's and she's more likely to be storing decorations than he is. Not to mention what Marge has got hidden in the attic and Garage! Who knows what Homer could get his hands on!

Alternate Jebidiah statues, whacking day snakes, even fairgrounds! Who knows!
And who's to say whether an 6 months Anniversary of Ground Hog's Day Doughnut Sale is planned! Those creative EA types could be up to anything! After all, I hit got two doughnuts on the same day from visiting neighboreenos just last week! Quite a surprise since they were only 4 doors away from each other!

So, yeah, some cash items might have been nice, but they offered a lot of valuable stuff in this sale that I was not expecting since I didn't notice last year's or hadn't restarted playing by then. So this was helpful to me. I can totally see why a dedicated freemium player would not find it so. But they do make it easy to buy and sell high XP items don't they?

About the only thing I could ask for is to have twice as many neighbors possible. 8)
L 939play 2-3x a day. Want friends With good buildings to friends ratio.
