Sorry guys, but I love this update. My KL is my favorite part of my town, and I was pumped to get to do some redesigning.
If tickets weren't a * to get, more people could go, and premium items were cheap I'd play it more. I bought the log ride cuz it's cheap but I refuse to spend 150 donuts on mt Rushmore or 100 on that eyeballs of death or whatever.
Since there's virtually no practical connection between Krustyland and regular SF (except maybe selling loads of tickets for very little cash), KL can basically be seen as a game within a game. If you like KL, you can go there all the time. If you don't like it, you can never go there and keep playing your SF game just fine. The only time you're "forced" to go to KL is when a new level update requires you to do things there to complete the level. I'll finish this level and then maybe won't bother visiting KL until there's another update with new KL stuff. Kind of silly, isn't it?
I think this is a planning and design mistake by EA. I'm not sure how, but to make KL relevant to people like me who don't currently care about it, they should do something to make it seem integrated with regular SF. But for now, it just seems like a waste of time that has nothing to do with developing my town.

I have a feeling if we get monorail that's where it's gonna go...

You may be right, other people have suggested this too. I really, really hope not, though. I love the idea of what could be done with the Monorail in SF, and for me, putting it in KL would be a huge waste. Again, I'd never see it unless I was visiting KL, which I don't normally bother to do since there's nothing happening in KL.
I should add, to the extent KL is a game within a game, it's a pretty boring one. I got the Tooth Chipper many months ago, then finished designing the place. And then what? Basically, you can keep endlessly tapping tickets and wait for another KL update months down the road. If KL were a stand-alone game, nobody would play it (let alone pay to add stuff to it). And since it really has nothing to do with regular SF, I just can't get excited about it.
If KL were updated every few weeks with new material (like SF usually is), then it might be more interesting. But when you have to wait months for more content, it's not much of a game.
