No promotion

IIRC, promotion day is the 22nd of each month.

It is good to post a lot, but I think I heard that you really want to make a posting push during the 14th thru the 22nd to have a good chance of being promoted. I followed that formula the 2nd month that I tried for promotion and it did work for me but I also posted for the 3 weeks before that just not as much.

I suggest having at least 50 meaningFUL posts by the 20th of next month and you'll be fine.

Yeah, sitting at 29 posts and having only noticed a week after promotion day doesn't make this all too surprising... better luck next time

Shame you didnt make the cut, tbf the only thing promotion gives you is the ability to have an avatar as you are able to do everything else already like post scene shots/gifs/images etc.

Generally how the system works is you need to be active around 20/22nd basically keeping your name on the 1st page of the General game discussion page so you get picked up.

Post counts mean absolutely nothing when it comes to getting promoted! Some people have been promoted with under 10posts before

Hopefully next month you will be chosen :thumbup:

But Neo basically just said it doesn't, it just encourages posting around the 20th? I could understand wanting people to be active across the month and I get that there's only so much attention you can pay to who is posting but it just sounds a bit silly if a few posts around the right time is sufficient for promotion if the aim is to encourage regular contributions. I mean, it doesn't matter too much anyway since it's only about getting an av but still, seems silly to me.

The promotion system here is just completely random! The only reason i know the way is "seems" to work is for being around here for so long

The rate of posting seems to matter just as much. So, while the number of posts itself may not matter, if you do quite a lot over a few days, like a regular contributor would, you'll have a good chance.
