How to post images, gifs, avatars and YouTube videos on the forum

How to post YouTube videos from your computer:
1- In your browser, load up the YouTube video clip you wish to share:

2- Select and copy the URL in the browser address bar:

3- Open up and reply to the forum thread you wish to post the video in and paste the code:

4- Click "post if you are making a new post or post reply if you are responding to an existing thread " and the video should be embedded in your post. You will also have to have to make a 5 character comment or simply type ..... or something similar or it will not post. There is a 5 character minimum for all forum posts and the video does not count towards it.

1- load up the YouTube video you wish to share. On the on-screen menu bar, click the "share" icon on the far right (circled in red, pictured below):
2- This will open a menu box giving you the ability to share the video. Click on "Email":
3- An email will pop up with the video's full web address displayed:
4- Select and copy this link:
5- Open up and reply to the forum thread you wish to post the video in and past the link:
6- Select the whole link:
7- Click on the YouTube coding option and your text should look something like this:
8- Click the "Submit" button and your post should display your YouTube video:
1- Open up the web page that has the Gif you wish to use:
2- Hold your finger down on the image so the "save image/copy" menu pops up (or right click on the mouse if using a computer). Click on "copy":
3- Open up a new tab in your browser and paste the copied web address in the browser address bar:
4- Load up the copied web address and your Gif should appear in a clean browser window:
5- Copy the web address from the browser bar:
6- Open up and reply to the forum thread you wish to post your Gif in and paste that copied web address:
7- Wrap the [IMG]tags around the text:[/img]
8- Click the "Submit" button and your Gif should appear in your post:
1- go to http://www.photobucket.com and click on the upload button, as shown below:
2- Click on "Choose photos and videos", as shown below:
3- Select your desired photo:
4- Click on "edit photos":
5- Click "resize":
6- If you want your image to be the optimal size for the forum, set your image size to 800x600 and click "apply":
7- Click on the blue "save" button:
8- Click on the "IMG" link on the right hand side of the screen (shown below) and copy the text that begins with
9- Open up and reply to the forum thread you wish to post your image in and paste the copied code:
10- Click "Submit" and your image should be posted:
1- Go to http://www.tinypic.com and click on "Choose File", shown in red below:
2- Select the desired image:
3- The optimal image size for this forum is 800x600, to edit your image to this size, select "resize":
4- Then click on the 15" (800x600) option:
5- Click "upload now". A pop up will appear asking you to prove you're not a spambot:
6- now the site will load a page with a variety of links for this image. Choose the link for forums and message boards (shown in red box), copy the link:
7- Open up and reply to the thread you wish to post your image in and paste the link:
8- Click "submit" and your post should contain your image.
Please note: images uploaded with Roflsaurus will be the full size of the image. In order to resize your image, you will need to use another site or app. There have also been occasions where images posted from Roflsaurus have been picked up by the forums spam filter.
1- Log in to http://www.roflsaurus.com and click "upload image":
2- Click "choose file":
3- Select the image you wish to upload:
4- The site will provide a number of different coding options:
5- Select and copy the "BBCode Image" link:
6- Open up and reply to the forum thread you wish to post your image in and paste the link:
7- Click "submit" and your image should appear in your post:
1- Download the Imgupr app and open it:
2- Click "choose photo" to open your photos, select the image you want to upload:
3- You will now be in a new menu where you can add a title and/or description for your image:
4- Once you have chosen a title, click "Upload":
5- This will save the image to your account. From here, click "get embed codes":
6- This will open up a new menu with various links:
7- To have an ideal sized picture for this forum, select "size" at the top and then select "medium" in the pop up menu:
8- Click on "BBCode" (the second option). The device will automatically save the code:
9- Open up and reply to the thread you wish to post your image in and paste that code:
10- Click "submit" and your image should appear in your post:
**Please note: In order to display an avatar on the forum, you will have to receive a PM stating that you have been promoted. Promotions occur around the 22nd of each month to people who have been active on the forums, particularly on the dates leading up to promotion.
Also note: When editing an image with PhotoBucket, the saved image acquires a much longer URL web address for the direct link. The issue with this is the forum's avatar control panel box only allows for a certain length of text. You may need to save the image to your device and then upload it again on PhotoBucket to get a suitable link.

2- Click "choose photo", this will open your devices photo albums. Now choose the image you wish to upload:
3- This will bring up a new menu where you can choose a title and or description for your image:
4- Once you have named your image, click "Upload":
5- Your image is now saved to your account. Now click "Get embed codes":
6- You will be provided with a list of different codes. Click on "Direct Link" (top option):
7- Open up the EA forum webpage and click on "My Profile":
8- Scroll down to the very bottom to where the "Avatar Control Panel" box is:
9- Paste the copied link into the URL box:
10- Hit "Submit" and the image should be loaded as your avatar:
1- Click on "New Topic" in the forum you want to create the poll:
2- Click on "Poll". This is between the message body box and the forum coding box:
3- Enter the poll question, the first of the poll options and the duration of the poll if you only want to run it for a limited time:
4- Click on "add option" as many times as you need to enter all the different poll options you wish to use:
5- Hit "Submit" and your thread should be set up as a poll:
1- Log in to the forum using the email account and password that you use for your game. It will let you log in but it will tell you that your email is not verified so you won't be able to create or reply to any threads until you have verified it:
2- Click on the blue link that says "click here to verify" and it will take you to Origin:
3- Type in your username and password that you use for your town:
4- It will prompt you to create a unique security question and answer:
5- When the security question and answer has been completed, it will take you back to your user profile:
6- Click on the "please verify your email address" link. It will tell you that an email has been sent to you:
7- Log into your email inbox:
8- Open the new email from Origin. It will contain a link for you to click or copy into your browser web address bar:
9- The link will take you back to your Origin profile page and tell you that your email has been successfully verified:
10- Log out of your account and then log back in. The "your email is not verified" message should no longer be there:
11- And you should now be able to create and reply to threads successfully.
Recently the youtube shortcut links I try to post here don't seem to produce a thumbnail. It seems the type of link they produce is different than what it used to be. I have found a couple of ways around this but I would appreciate any suggestions. I can now change the link so it makes a thumbnail but it no longer autoplays like it used to. Here is what I got ( I have inserted "X" to allow the good links to display ) :

When I place within youtube brackets it will not display the youtube thumbnail.

Click on arrow where YouTube video is under it. Then click & hold on the blue link. An option list will come up with the option to copy. Copy & paste in between
