I would pay big bucks to have red hot chili peppers walking around my town
Forget the RHCP, give me Spinal Tap!
I would love to see Phish playing in Springfield. For the medical **** rally, (on the day after the vote, of course). Anyway, I can see them having a super long jam task, at least 24 hours.
I would actually love it if they did that because there have been some great celebrity cameos on the Simpsons. One of them that really stands out in my mind is Lucy Lawless as Xena from one of the Treehouse of Horror episodes. I think it would be great to have Xena, Bart as Stretch Dude, Lisa as Clobber Girl, and CBG as the Collector for a Halloween event. Another one I'd like to see is Conan O'Brien, I'm not sure how that would fit into the game but it would be cool seeing how Conan was a great writer/producer for the time he worked on The Simpsons and he also that cameo where Bart was on his show. Unfortunately I imagine they don't have much interest for the time being in adding celeb characters to the game.

I agree with everything you said, including the last part. Not likely to happen. The B and C list celebrities we have now are the closest thing we will have. But those are nice, I really like Dedrick Tatum.
But as you said, the Simpsons has had so many memorable ones over the years, it would be a nice addition.
In the family guy game they've added a bunch of characters of real celebrities, one of my favorite being Stan Lee.
I wonder if this game will ever get celebrity characters too. I think it would be an awesome addition to the game in my opinion.
Yeah, they're all pretty cool. Stan Lee, Patrick Stewart, George Takei, Nathan Fillion, Felicia Day, Ron Perlman, and Bryan Cranston are all pretty awesome additions to the game.

I don't play that game. Why do they do that? Is there a purpose for it in the game?
The FG game is running a month and a half long Comic Con event, hence all the celebrities. It's similar in approach to the TSTO events, where you collect stuff and once you hit set milestones are awarded items, characters, and buildings. It's pretty cool. I still preferred the Stonecutter event since I'm a bigger fan of the Simpsons, but Tinyco (the makers of the FG game) are knocking it out of the park with their updates.
For one, they update far more often than EA updates TSTO. The only downside to the FG game is that they release a huge amount of premium currency only items, and most characters/alternate costumes require you to collect various items before you can unlock them. In theory it's a good idea, but in practice it can be annoying, especially since many of the items are Rare or Extremely Rare and only drop after 4, 6, 8, 12, 20, or 24 hour long tasks, which drags out those tasks and often results in frustration for a lot of players.
Still, pretty cool game. But TSTO is still my favorite, even with the lack of decent updates.

Matt groening in our town would be awesome. With a task to write his signature everywhere.
The updates suck. A bunch. The game focusses on clam buying players far more than Tapped Out does on Premium gamers. Goals in the other game unrealisticly high, 80% of the content has never appeared in the series, drop rates fir characters are horrible. Overall it is a really bad game.

Anything's possible. In my opinion, I hope they focus on Simpsons content only.

That'd be brilliant! Both due to the episode and them being one of my all time favorite bands.
That'd be really cool, too, and not require EA to pay any additional licensing fees.
+1
The Simpsons anniversary is on December 17th. This would be a awesome way to celebrate it
Are the celebs characters in FG voiced?
I agree
Yes they are, I love when Patrick Stewart says gigity gigity, or shutup meg
Was waiting for while for him, wonder if he'll show up..
