They have made some small references to older episodes before. Like when we had Homer task "Eat the Guatemalan Insanity Pepper" which was definitely a classic episode!! I wish the task for that was actually visual, but it would have been hard to do it justice. The reference alone made me smile and laugh, and brought back so many memories!! That is why I love TSTO so much.
We never have had a "Eat the Guatemalan Insanity Pepper" task from Homer or anyone else. But maybe if we ever get a Chili Cook Off event, we will. Along with other content from that episode
I apologize Deadshot DCU, I respect you and your inputs to this forum, but I have to call you out as being wrong here. It was the Climbing up the D List series of storylines, during one of those parts, Homer was required to Eat the Famous Insanity Pepper, and he went to the police station. It was disappointing being an indoor task, but it definitely did happen. I have a decent memory sometimes, but I admit I am not always right. I just think in this instance I am.
I stand corrected. I must have skimmed through that quest fast, because I don't remember it. But it's good to know
I hope we do get an actual Chili Cook Off event & Homer gets an actual permanent Visual task to eat the Guatemalan Insanity Pepper
Thank you. I would like to have this as a permanent task as well.
Well I disagree with the sentiment that Simpsons characters aren't already celebrities! Willie the janitor has recently, and not for the first time, been voted the world's most famous Scot... ahead of the likes of Ewan McGregor, Billy Connolly and Sean Connery. That's just one example (probably my only one  ) of a celebrity made in Simpsons, rather than adding to the show.
It's not surprising that Family Guy have to have such a star-studded event to keep in the public eye, what with 10 years less air-time with the first few years of that dis-counted due to unpopularity. Who do you think benefits more from the crossover episode?

You make a very compelling argument. I have to agree that the Simpsons is so popular in its own right, that it has made its own characters into celebrities. It is funny, when Joe Mantegna is on Criminal Minds, people reference him being the voice for Fat Tony from the Simpsons quite often. It is one of his biggest claims to fame, without a doubt. And the Simpsons has been on for so long, and has had such a wide range of guest appearances for different episodes, that it is in its own level compared to the Family Guy. Way more iconic and recognizeable than FG ever will be.
Before they introduce any celebrities, or any other characters, they need to give us Maggie! She should be Freemium and her nemesis, Baby Gerald, should be the FP prize.
Moe: "Moe's tavern, home of the worlds smallest large screen TV."

I don't want to get into the politics of why they put in celebrities in the family guy game, but clearly it worked.
Also there's absolutely no arguement that the simspons characters aren't celebrities. I was just thinking it would be very cool if they added real celebrities, or in some cases their own versions of celebrities.
It would just add a lot to the game, and besides there's a whole slew of celeberties the show had since it first aired, so it wouldn't be that "off" adding them.
I mean who wouldn't want Stan Lee walking around in their town right?

I agree & it's a pity that Fat Tony isn't voiced in the game. I was actually surprised to discover that FG has been around '99 because I can't say I heard about it more than 5 years ago... and I was so disinterested in it I often mistook it for American Dad which aired at the same time here (probably because The Simpsons was between seasons ).

As a die-hard marvel fan I would absolutely love Stan Lee in my town! But that is because I know he would be voiced, I detest the idea of more and more characters being added if they aren't voiced.

I have to agree with you on characters not being voiced being annoying. I don't get why they do that. I mean can't they just use samples from the show if they can't get the voice actors to come in and do special recordings for the game? :?

Nice that all the characters have the voices too.
