Welcome to the Dark Side! :-) Sorry to hear about the game crash and lost purchase.

Suggestions for purchase:

1) Frink's Lab (I'm obviously biased. Just look at my avatar.)

2) Community Center (Gives you Jasper. My second favorite.)

3) Moleman, SVT (combination purchase.)

Edit: Added third choice

Jasper is iconic. He's on my short list. No worries on the issue, they seem to think they can resolve it - here's hoping - but I just couldn't wait for responses here.

I bought a building I've been pining for, the Museum of Natural History, it allowed me to complete a museum campus I dreamed up, a la Chicago. And then I bought Bumblebee Man. Once I get my 576 donuts from EA, who knows. I'm all over the place - Barney, Crazy Cat Lady, Frink, Jasper. Ahhh! Choices!

Sorry to hear abut the crash. I've purchased several boatloads of donuts and haven't experienced anything like that.

I don't recall how many donuts Gill gives you or how much anything costs, but I would suggest blowing it all on characters first.

Besides the ones I listed above, I'm considering the Cracker Factory - not a fan of the building, but it unlocks a character plus the Fleet a pita. I already have Otto. I'm thinking I have to have Barney, another iconic character.

Don't forget you get a premium building as part of the sale, it might be wise to hold off purchasing buildings just yet to see what you end up with 8)

I just got Dr Nick. Not regretted it for a second.

From what I hear, Kamp Krusty is pretty awesome too.

The Gil sale would be a pretty good deal for new premium players, maybe thats what EA attempted to accomplish :P

I definitely think that is what they were trying. For me I feel the opposite, as the lack of content doesn't have me motivated to become premium. I was actually at Target yesterday and saw iTunes gift cards on sale, and I walked over to them then walked away because I thought why bother.

I have 280 donuts that I have saved up and I was thinking of buying Luanne/Crazy Cat Lady/Jasper but I haven't pulled the trigger. I always wait for an update in case something new happens. But if this game is going to have nothing going on maybe it doesn't make sense to wait.

Recommend the cracker factory. Not only do you get Luann, you get a premium pay out for Kirk's 8 hr task working at the factory.

Though can't be one if buildings like Mapple are not offered any more.

So many good choices! I bought my first donuts in June and am slowly spending them. If you have Homer & Jasper's Stonecutter skins, one of Homer's tasks is Jasper chasing him around trying to paddle him. It's hilarious!

I used the live chat feature and it took about 20 mins, I had to provide a screen shoot of the receipt showing the purchase.

So EA added my 576 donuts and then said they couldn't add the premium box building, and offered me a paltry 6 dounts to compensate. Glad I got my donuts but less than pleased with the entire outcome.

You should try again and demand either a refund or the full deal. They can't be allowed to short you a premium building and replace it with only 6 donuts, that's illegal business practices.

I've been waiting a long time to lose my freemium status but this Gil deal wasn't going to do it. I'm at the point where I may resign to staying freemium and using the iTunes cards on something else
