So, I had never been particularly enthusiastic about designing Krustyland because it has no water and I had never found a 3D illusion that looked good. Recently, however, I was inspired by some excellent 3D designs by sk3ly and G0thamgirl / pharrah2003 and decided to get to work. Here's the panorama:

What do you think? Does the 3D work? Any feedback / suggestions are greatly appreciated. Personally, I'm on the fence about Mt. Krustmore.
Should also say that while I try not to copy other people's designs, Maegnificent's Radioactive Man nuclear tree arrangement (http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/9661997.page) was so stunning that I had to use it, and I also borrowed the bumper car idea from somewhere. Another incredible KL is mitzytaz's (http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/9329979.page) -- I was inspired by some of her greenery.
Here's a small shot of the entrance. To see the rest in high res, check out the panorama link above.
I too was meaning to PM you about this rebuild, and I'm glad I get to praise it in public instead. The thing is I've had my characters in KL while you were working on this so I could buy up the remaining land and an adequate supply of benches to copy your 3D effects!
I gave up yesterday when I realized those effects are incidental: I've simply never seen other towns with a such a well-developed sense of topography. Of course, your main town does this to the point where it appears to have its own ecosystem, but that you've pulled it off in KL with benches and some strategically placed trees and balloons thoroughly depresses me!
Only problem i see is how do guests walk from one level to the next? I don't see ramps or stairs.
You could try adding a path on that hill, using flowers to run parallel to the line you established with the trees to maintain equal slope? Or, maybe something resembling a bridge behind the hotel? I see you extended the path there. Idk just guessing...
P.s. thanks for posting the big pic on imgur. I didn't know you could post res that high/size that big
I've been meaning to PM you about your KL. It's truly awesome! I'm totally going to steal the 3D ideas you've done - quite effective and interesting to see up close how you've made it work. Great job!
