How to not annoy your TO friends

So basically what your saying is I'm supposed to make my town look like crap by farming so you don't have to wait for my Simpson house to regenerate for 45 seconds so you can get coins faster.... I'm not one of your friends but if I was I would delete you.

I hardly think a small farm of 12 houses, temporarily placed in your Springfield during the length of a promotion, is ugly. Clearly you are all vanity and little function. Hopefully you're not like that in real life as well.

I think I know what the OP means. I have one neighbour that was added for Christmas and they have a MASSIVE blue house farm. They have literally every other building and character crammed into one tiny corner with a three square length of road. You would think I'd be able to occasionally get a Santa coin or two from one of the hundreds of blue houses. Nope, I have to wait for the Simspon house to regenerate every single time.

If you have 100 friends, and you have to wait a minimum of 90 seconds at each friend's Springfield, you will spent at least two and a half hours collecting coins daily.

If you choose your friends wisely and you're in and out in roughly 20 seconds, this only takes 33 minutes (best case scenario) instead. That's a BIG difference.

LMAO, I know who you're talking about! Friends with them too. Don't feel too bad, I get the same thing everytime I go to their farm.

I've begun just clicking the simpsons house, then going to another farm, then going back. It may take the same amount of time but at least I'm doing something and not just staring at their open window, lol

Sorry, but I'm kinda with this guy. I have all houses decorated and even pulled extra brown houses out of storage to help my neighbours out, but in the end waiting a few seconds for the Simpsons house to regenerate on the off-chance you're in between collection times is hardly a hardship. If you're that desperate for coins, you'll wait. Maybe take the time to actually look around your friend's town while you wait instead of just a hit and run?

And as far as logic goes, 33 minutes vs. 2.5 hrs. Are the numbers too confusing for you? Looks pretty simple to me. Maybe they haven't taught you this yet in grade 6?

I don't understand OPs like the first one. I don't expect everybody to decorate their town the way I like. It is plenty easy to delete the people who don't give you coins and put new people in their place without making a fuss over it, it's not like there aren't a zillion "add me" posts everywhere.

Nobody is going to change a town they like for one person and these people aren't REALLY your friends so the threat to delete them is meaningless. Who cares?

I have 20 brown houses over to the right I leave alone so people can pick Santa coins. But I don't HAVE to do that. Now everybody likes it but after Christmas, it'll be a house farm again. I don't care. They are my ghetto area and I'm going to chain link it and throw a graffit wall and some trash there. I play often enough so that I want to pick money when I check in so I leave some houses.

People who don't like it or call it housefaming can delete me. People who like it can stay. I could care less either way.

The way most people built their towns (due to quests) is simpsons house, flanders house, brown house. I didn;t want to move flanders just for continuity lol, and the brown house is fine where it is. So for most of the time getting 3 coins is quick!

I agree you shouldn't have to ruin your town for your friends, why make huge 200 house farms only to shove everything you own into the corner like unwanted birthday gifts from your nan? Seems pointless to me! But on the other hand, there is no harm for the space of 4 weeks to build 10-15 brown houses and bung them in a corner.

My town is damn beautiful, but I've got a small house farm just outside of it, best of both

I added a few brown houses that I leave alone until I see a handshake. Trying to be neighborly for Christmas. And it's nice when others do the same. But I don't get bent out of shape when they don't. I just kind of chuckle when I see towns like I mentioned up thread. People can do what they want. It's not like I want to be friends for life. I'll delete the majority after Christmas and go back to my 10 or so usual neighbours.

I'm not saying if you have brown houses not to use them. I'm saying that I am not going to go buy 45 brown houses to help you get your coins quicker. I have 4 brown, 4 purple, 2 blue and 2 white as duplicates go. I think that should be fine for my friends to use. The Christmas update runs for a month so that is plenty of time to get coins even if you visit every other day. I just don't like the fact that he was kinda telling people what they should do. I have plenty of towns of real life friends who don't have but the Simpson house and Flanders house decorated and I still manage to wait for the regeneration period and I managed to visit all 95 friends in 17 minutes.

Lol, I can relate to the frustration. I have several people with large house farms (brown, even), who are collecting on every single house, constantly. For god's sake, they have 200 brown houses and can't leave maybe 5 be, for coin collectors?! It's time to do some house cleaning again soon; I'm getting the twitch. I only had one brown house before the update, but putting out extras for collectors was the first thing I did upon getting the lights. I also leave several of my higher-priced houses uncollected, so people can get those too (I can afford the income loss, as I have over $600,000 saved).

Another thing that earns chagrin: When a person has every single house decorated, *except* the brown houses, and the others have already been collected upon, haha.

Lol as if friends are hard to come by .

Personally my Springfield is for ME, if I build houses I would collect the coins whenever I felt like it. What if the player is low on money? Or saving up for a building? Chill out. Wait 90 seconds.
